Three species of the spider family Philodromidae are reported from the south of China. A new genus, , is described from Jiangxi, Fujian, and Hunan Provinces. It can be distinguished from other genera of Philodromidae by the tegular apophysis of the palp and the cymbial process, as well as by its uniquely striped abdomen.

Five color mutant lines, AZ1701, AZ1702, AZ1711, AZ1714, and AZ1715, derived from the sodium azide mutagenesis on the non-pigmented IR64 variety, were applied to study inheritance modes and genes for pigmentation. The mutant line AZ1711, when crossed with IR64, displays pigmentation in various tissues, exhibiting a 3:1 pigmented to non-pigmented ratio in the F progeny, indicating a single dominant locus controlling pigmentation.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 1473 patients with GGOs between January 2015 and May 2020 from two cancer centers. The tumor characteristics and EGFR mutation rates were compared between different age groups.
Microalgal-bacterial biofilms have emerged as a promising approach for wastewater treatment. However, its potential to treat high-concentration ammonia‑nitrogen wastewater coupling with high-value fatty acid production remains unclear. Therefore, this study explored the efficiency of a microalgal-bacterial biofilm in treating high-concentration ammonia‑nitrogen wastewater and its ability to produce high-value fatty acids, with the activated sludge (bacteria) and microalgal-bacterial suspension as control.

Despite the high efficacy of such vaccines, cervical cancer screening remains necessary because current vaccines do not offer full protection. Secondary prevention via cervical screening should target all women from age 25 years or at the onset of sexual activity, whichever occurs later, until age 64 years.

The high transpiration of mistletoes requires efficient water transport, while high xylem tensions demand strong embolism resistance, representing a hydraulic paradox. This study, conducted across four environments with different aridity indices in Yunnan, China, examined the xylem traits of 119 mistletoe-host species pairs.

In the present research on the development of multiadditives to ameliorate interfaces, it is challenging to elucidate the mechanisms of the various components. Additionally, the synergy among additive molecules is frequently disregarded, resulting in the combined efficacy of multiadditives that is unlikely to surpass the sum of each component.

Although microsomal CYB5A is required for sterol C4-demethylation in vitro, cholesterol biosynthesis remains intact in Cyb5a knockout mice. Here, we show that knockout of mitochondrial CYB5B, rather than CYB5A, blocks cholesterol biosynthesis at the sterol-C4 oxidation step in HeLa cells, causing an accumulation of testis meiosis-activating sterol (T-MAS) and dihydro-T-MAS.

Autonomous methods to align beamlines can decrease the amount of time spent on diagnostics, and also uncover better global optima leading to better beam quality. The alignment of these beamlines is a high-dimensional expensive-to-sample optimization problem involving the simultaneous treatment of many optical elements with correlated and nonlinear dynamics. Bayesian optimization is a strategy of efficient global optimization that has proved successful in similar regimes in a wide variety of beamline alignment applications, though it has typically been implemented for particular beamlines and optimization tasks.

Purpose: Develop an albumin nanoparticle-based nanoprobe for targeted glioblastoma (GBM) diagnosis and treatment, utilizing Angopep-2 for low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein (LRP) targeting.
Methods: Combined albumin-coated superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO), Carmustine (BCNU), and indocyanine green (ICG). Assessed morphology, size, Zeta potential, fluorescence, and drug encapsulation.
Background: A child's cancer diagnosis and treatment are stressful for family caregivers, who may experience anxiety, depressive symptoms, and poor health-related quality of life (HRQoL) related to the care they provide.
Objective: This study assessed the prevalence of anxiety, depressive symptoms, HRQoL, and associated factors among caregivers of children with cancer.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 167 caregivers of children with cancer in Malawi.
The N7-methylguanosine (m7G) methyltransferase Mettl1 has been recently implicated in cardiac repair and fibrosis. In this study we investigated the role of Mettl1 in mouse cardiomyocytes injury and the underlying mechanisms. Cardiac ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) I/R model was established in mice by ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) for 45 min followed by reperfusion for 24 h.

High-entropy materials (HEMs) have recently emerged as a prominent research focus in materials science, gaining considerable attention because of their complex composition and exceptional properties. These materials typically comprise five or more elements mixed approximately in equal atomic ratios. The resultant high-entropy effects, lattice distortions, slow diffusion, and cocktail effects contribute to their unique physical, chemical, and optical properties.

Retinol is one of the main active forms of vitamin A, crucial for the organism's growth, development, and maintenance of eye and skin functions. It is widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and feed additives. Although animals lack a complete pathway for synthesizing vitamin A internally, they can obtain vitamin A directly through diet or convert β-carotene acquired from the diet.

Comparatively, the preparation of single-atom catalysts is much easier with more straightforward and effective accesses for the arrangement and control of metal active centers. The presence of coordination atoms or neighboring functional atoms on the supports' surface ensures the stability of metal single-atoms and their interactions with individual metal atoms substantially regulate the performance of metal active centers.
