Prefabrication has been widely advocated as a green production strategy to minimize the adverse environmental impacts of construction. Amid economic globalization, prefabricated construction materials are commonly sourced offsite and even offshore. As an issue emerging alongside offshore prefabrication, extended producer responsibility (EPR) is yet to be clearly identified, allocated, and implemented.

The ubiquitous aquatic bacterium Flavobacterium columnare can be highly effective in biofilm formation on fish skin and gills. Previous research showed a difference between columnaris disease susceptibility of hybrid striped bass (Morone saxatilis × M.

The purpose of this study was to examine elementary classroom teachers' self-reported use of MI products and subsequent perceptions of the facilitators of and barriers to MI product use. This study utilized a mixed-methods design.

Therefore, the objective of this study was to determine if these components can predict hyperadrenocorticism, pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH), or functional adrenocortical tumor (FAT) in dogs. Cortisol concentrations were normalized, as fold change (FC), to the PC reference interval upper limit.

School administrator involvement is recognized as a key factor in the extent to which school health promotion programs and initiatives are successfully implemented. The aims of this scoping review are to: (a) Identify existing documents that contain recommendations regarding the involvement of school administrators in school-based health promotion; (b) distill and summarize the recommendations; (c) examine differences in the recommendations by targeted professional level, professional group, health promotion content focus, and by whether the recommendations are evidence-based or opinion-based; and (d) evaluate the research informing the recommendations. We drew upon the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) guidelines to conduct the review.

This population uses various resources to cope with these challenges, including community social support. This qualitative research aimed to understand how gender diverse individuals perceive their community resilience.

Objective: tExtracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a life-saving therapy for severe, reversible cardiopulmonary failure, but data regarding its use in pregnancy and the postpartum period are limited. We sought to quantify survival of pregnant and postpartum women necessitating ECMO in a contemporary cohort at a single tertiary institution.
Study Design: All women of reproductive age (14-44 years), who underwent ECMO at our institution between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2017, were identified using a query of hospital encounters for ECMO-related CPT codes.
Coastal ecosystems, and especially estuaries, are subject to environmental fluctuations that can be amplified by anthropogenic changes. Under a future scenario of global warming, temperature and salinity are likely to be altered and the persistence of macrophyte-dominated ecosystems can be compromised, particularly native or local seagrass communities. This study examined the response of the local seagrass Halophila ovalis to the joint effect of a short-term salinity increase and a transient temperature stress, through two mesocosm experiments.

In Auckland four tertiary institutions have partnered to run an interprofessional simulation training course called Urgent and Immediate Patient Care Week (UIPCW) which is compulsory for Year Five medical, Year Four pharmacy, Year Three paramedicine and Year Three nursing students. We sought to understand student experiences of UIPCW and how those experiences informed student ideas about professional identity and their emergent practice as health professionals within multidisciplinary teams.

The objective of this study was to describe TEG parameters in cats with CLD and to compare these parameters with conventional plasma-based coagulation tests, white blood cell (WBC) count and biochemical indicators of liver disease grade and severity.
Methods: Eighteen cats with CLD, defined by a serum bilirubin ⩾3 mg/dl and a greater than two-fold increase in serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and/or alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, were prospectively enrolled.
The UDP-2,3-diacylglucosamine pyrophosphate hydrolase LpxH is essential in lipid A biosynthesis and has emerged as a promising target for the development of novel antibiotics against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative pathogens. Recently, we reported the crystal structure of Klebsiella pneumoniae LpxH in complex with 1 (AZ1), a sulfonyl piperazine LpxH inhibitor. The analysis of the LpxH-AZ1 co-crystal structure and ligand dynamics led to the design of 2 (JH-LPH-28) and 3 (JH-LPH-33) with enhanced LpxH inhibition.

B12 deficiency disturbs the 1C cycle and alters DNA methylation which is vital for most metabolic processes. Studies show that B12 deficiency may be associated with obesity, insulin resistance and gestational diabetes; and with obesity in child-bearing women.

However, they also prevent the inactivation of GCs.

Objective: We aim to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies on the association between LAN exposure and risk of obesity in human subjects.
Methods: Peer-reviewed observational studies were systematically searched from MEDLINE (EBSCO), Academic Search Complete (EBSCO), CINAHL Plus (EBSCO) and PubMed up to December 24, 2019.
Background: In January 2020 reports of unidentified severe respiratory illness were described in Wuhan, China. A rapid expansion in cases affecting most countries around the globe led to major changes in the way people live their daily lives. In the United Kingdom, the Department of Health and Social Care directed healthcare providers to establish additional resources to manage the anticipated surge in cases that could overwhelm the health services.

Case Series Summary: This case series describes the postoperative ultrasonographic findings in six cats that underwent a cholecystoduodenostomy as treatment for extrahepatic biliary obstruction. The surgery site was identified in all six cats, most often within the right cranial abdomen as a thick-walled gall bladder, with a broad-based connection to the descending duodenum. Postoperatively, the biliary tree often remained distended, similar to its preoperative appearance.

Fusion or doping of boron into PAHs is known to improve the optoelectronic properties by reducing the LUMO energy level. Herein, we report a comprehensive study on the syntheses, structures, and photophysical properties of a new class of fused N-heterocyclic boranes (NHBs), pyrene- and benzene-linked in a "Janus-type" fashion (2-4, 6-9, and 11).

These modifications resulted in significantly improved stability and activity in both electro- and photocatalytic HER in neutral water. [Co(Py3Me-Bpy)(OH )](PF ) catalyzes the electrolytic HER at -1.

Research Question: The goal of this study was to evaluate the utility of liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) in determining the adherence status to oral prednisolone in severe asthma.
Study Design And Methods: Timeline serum levels of prednisolone, cortisol, and metabolites were measured by using a validated LC-MS/MS assay following observed intake of prednisolone in patients receiving maintenance oral prednisolone.
In the central nervous system, melastatin transient receptor potential (TRPM) channels function as receptors for the neurosteroid pregnenolone sulfate (PregS). The expression and function of TRPM3 has been explored in adult retina, although its role during development is unknown. We found, during the second postnatal week in mice, TRPM3 immunofluorescence labeled distinct subsets of inner retinal neurons, including a subset of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs), similar to what has been reported in the adult.

Previous research has found that accumulative waste generation in construction projects follows an S-curve, but improving our understanding of waste generation requires its investigation at a higher level of granularity. Such efforts, however, are often constrained by lack of quality "bigger" data, i.
