Background: Despite HIV being increasingly considered as a chronic illness, there is as yet no consensus about how primary care should be integrated with specialty care to provide optimal clinical management for people living with HIV.
Objective: To examine the effectiveness of shared care models of HIV between primary care and specialty care and how primary care providers can assist in improving the care of people with HIV.
Methods: Three databases, PubMed, Medline and EMBase, were searched for relevant terms from studies published in the period from 1996 to 2011.
A novel magnetic field fiber sensor based on magnetic fluid is proposed. The sensor is configured as a Sagnac interferometer structure with a magnetic fluid film and a section of polarization maintaining fiber inserted into the fiber loop to produce a sinusoidal interference spectrum for measurement. The output interference spectrum is shifted as the change of the applied magnetic field strength with a sensitivity of 16.

This study aimed to measure important work environment variables that might affect the likelihood of condom use among male sex workers working in Hong Kong. A cross-sectional survey of 161 participants recruited by snowball and convenience sampling methods through outreach workers of a local non-governmental organization was conducted in 2007-2008.

Design: This was a prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot study.
Setting: This trial was conducted at two hospitals in Hong Kong between May 2006 and September 2007.
This Letter reports on a search for narrow high-mass resonances decaying into dilepton final states. The data were recorded by the ATLAS experiment in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider and correspond to a total integrated luminosity of 1.08 (1.

This letter reports on a search for hypothetical heavy neutrinos, , and right-handed gauge bosons, , in events with high transverse momentum objects which include two reconstructed leptons and at least one hadronic jet. The results were obtained from data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.1 fb collected in proton-proton collisions at [Formula: see text] with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.

The top quark mass has been measured using the template method in the [Formula: see text] channel based on data recorded in 2011 with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The data were taken at a proton-proton centre-of-mass energy of [Formula: see text] and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA measurement of the jet activity in [Formula: see text] events produced in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV is presented, using 2.05 fb of integrated luminosity collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The [Formula: see text] events are selected in the dilepton decay channel with two identified -jets from the top quark decays.

A measurement of the top-antitop production charge asymmetry is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb of collisions at [Formula: see text] TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Events are selected with a single lepton (electron or muon), missing transverse momentum and at least four jets of which at least one jet is identified as coming from a -quark.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA search for a Higgs boson has been performed in the H→WW→ℓνjj channel in 1.04 fb(-1) of pp collision data at √s=7 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. No significant excess of events is observed over the expected background and limits on the Higgs boson production cross section are derived for a Higgs boson mass in the range 240 GeV
A search for a heavy standard model Higgs boson decaying via H→ZZ→→ℓ(+)ℓ(-)νν, where ℓ=e, μ, is presented. It is based on proton-proton collision data at √s=7 TeV, collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in the first half of 2011 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb(-1).

However, the reduction factor (R) in PPI is theoretically constrained by the number of coils (N(C)). A symmetrically shaped kernel is typically used, but this often prevents even the theoretically possible R from being achieved.

A rapid and sensitive method to detect Salmonella spp., Salmonella Typhi and Salmonella Typhimurium is needed to improve control and surveillance of typhoid fever and Salmonella gastroenteritis.

Simple, quantitative criteria are desirable for identifying transmembrane helices (TMs) that must be included into or should be excluded from start sequence segments in similarity searches aimed at finding distant homologues.
Results: We found that there are two types of TMs in membrane-associated proteins.
High macrophage infiltration into tumours often correlates with poor prognoses; in colorectal, stomach and skin cancers, however, the opposite is observed but the mechanisms behind this phenomenon remain unclear. Here, we sought to understand how tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs) in colorectal cancer execute tumour-suppressive roles. We found that TAMs in a colorectal cancer model were pro-inflammatory and inhibited the proliferation of tumour cells.

Karmiloff-Smith, 1986, 1992). The 4- to 9-year-old participants (N = 24) had to balance blocks on a narrow support in one task and predict whether the blocks could be balanced in another task.

Previously, development of this phenotype was thought to rely on the acquisition of selected, random mutations and thus would occur late in cancer progression. However, recent studies show that cancer cells disseminate early, implying the existence of a different, faster route to the metastatic motile phenotype.

However, the estimation of this kernel based on k-space signals is imperfect, and the authors are investigating methods dealing with local variation of k-space signals.
Methods: To model nonstationarity of kernel weights, similar to performing a spatially adaptive regularization, the authors fit a set of linear functions using concepts from geographically weighted regression, a methodology used in geophysical analysis.

The MZI is fabricated by splicing a short length of PCF between two single-mode fibers with collapsed air holes over a short region at two splicing points, which allows coupling between core and cladding modes inside the PCF. By measuring the decay constants of the fiber ringdown loop under different applied strains, a high strain sensitivity of ~0.
