Shifts in colorectal cancer (CRC) screening, including guidance from the United States Preventive Services Task Force lowering the recommended screening age from 50 to 45 years in 2021, may leave gaps in clinicians' understanding of related barriers and beliefs held by patients. This study uses the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Framework to analyze factors influencing CRC screening uptake among individuals aged 44-54 years and identifies how gaps in knowledge intersect with screening barriers, particularly as they relate to the health care system and sociocultural environment. In 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division of Cancer Prevention and Control's Screen for Life campaign conducted 12 online focus groups to gather audience insights and test materials.

OATP1B facilitates the uptake of xenobiotics into hepatocytes and is a prominent target for drug-drug interactions (DDIs). Reduced systemic exposure of OATP1B substrates has been reported following multiple-dose rifampicin; one explanation for this observation is OATP1B induction. Non-uniform hepatic distribution of OATP1B may impact local rifampicin tissue concentrations and rifampicin-mediated protein induction, which may affect the accuracy of transporter- and/or metabolizing enzyme-mediated DDI predictions.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective study of patients with soft-tissue sarcomas who were imaged from January 2009 to December 2014 was performed. MRI studies from 69 patients (mean age, 61 years ± 15 [standard deviation], 45 men) with recurrent soft-tissue sarcoma and 63 age-, sex-, and tumor-matched controls with positive findings (nonrecurrence) were presented to six musculoskeletal radiologists at a tertiary cancer center in three image groupings.
Recognizing rare but clinically significant toxicity of immunotherapy is critical. Here we describe the first detailed case of severe osteonecrosis of the jaw due to anti-PD-1. A 75-year-old man with metastatic melanoma, with no prior radiation or treatment with bone-targeting agents, experienced jaw pain 1 week after his first dose of nivolumab.
