Recently, the high incidence of oral mucosal defects and the subsequent functional impairments have attracted widespread attention. Controlling scaffold geometry pattern has been proposed as a strategy to promote cell behavior and facilitate soft tissue repair. In this study, we innovatively construct an integrated dual-layer heterogeneous polycaprolactone (PCL) scaffold using melt electrowriting (MEW) technology.

However, a comprehensive understanding of their clonal landscape and dynamics remains elusive. Here we introduce scAtlasVAE, a deep-learning-based model for the integration of large-scale single-cell RNA sequencing data and cross-atlas comparisons.

This study used representative data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to comprehensively examine the association of thyroid hormones with different tests of cognitive functioning among US elderly people aged ≥60 years.
Methods: This study was a cross-sectional preliminary study with a total of 734 participants from the NHANES 2011-2012 survey.
Objectives: To develop a nomogram based on clinical features and spectral quantitative parameters to preoperatively predict the Lauren classification for locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC).
Methods: Patients diagnosed with LAGC by postoperative pathology who underwent abdominal triple-phase enhanced spectral computed tomography (CT) were prospectively enrolled in this study between June 2023 and December 2023. All the patients were categorized into intestinal- and diffuse-type groups according to the Lauren classification.
The use of pervious concrete pavement systems with recycled aggregates is a sustainable and innovative solution to major urbanization challenges such as repurposing construction waste, alleviating urban waterlogging, and reducing heat-island effects. This study aims to investigate the effects of mixture proportions and molding methods on the performance of pervious recycled aggregate concrete (PRAC). To this end, the coarse aggregate size (4.

However, the association between RAD and lung cancer remains largely unknow and no consensus has been reached. The aim of this study was to investigate the lag exposure-response of RAD on lung cancer and provide robust scientific evidence for updating prevention and treatment strategies of lung cancer.

We studied its anti-proliferation and apoptosis-provoking effect by utilizing cell viability 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, fluorescence microscope, gene overexpression, Western blot, and flow cytometry analyses. Parecoxib enhanced the ability of resveratrol to inhibit cell viability and increase apoptosis.

State-of-the-art methods employ graph neural networks and self-supervised learning (SSL) to learn unlabeled data for structural representations, which can then be fine-tuned for downstream tasks. Albeit powerful, these methods are pre-trained solely on molecular structures and thus often struggle with tasks involved in intricate biological processes.

Traditional navigation methods based on computed tomography (CT) imaging have several limitations. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the ultrasonic propagation characteristics of bone tissue and their relationship with CT imaging results, as well as the potential application of ultrasound navigation in pedicle screw fixation.

Methods: Between August 1, 2019, and February 28, 2022, this multicenter stepped wedge cluster randomized trial included maternity/diagnostic units from 10 regions in Asia. The trial started with a period where all recruiting centers provided routine antenatal care without study-related intervention.
Introduction: This study aimed to investigate occupational factors associated with burnout among a sample of 9-1-1 public safety telecommunicators (PSTs).
Methods: An online survey measuring organizational factors (ie, perceived visibility and inclusion in the agency, respectful culture, leadership support, perceived gratitude, and coworker conflict); job characteristic s (ie, work-life integration, overtime, salary satisfaction, and job meaningfulness); and burnout, demographic, and call center characteristics was emailed to a sample of PSTs.
Analysis: Descriptive, bivariate, and multiple linear regression analyses were used to characterize the sample and investigate relationships among variables.
In cyanobacteria and chloroplasts (in algae and plants), ATP synthase plays a pivotal role as a photosynthetic membrane complex responsible for producing ATP from adenosine diphosphate and inorganic phosphate, utilizing a proton motive force gradient induced by photosynthesis. These two ATP synthases exhibit similarities in gene organization, amino acid sequences of subunits, structure, and functional mechanisms, suggesting that cyanobacterial ATP synthase is probably the evolutionary precursor to chloroplast ATP synthase. In this review, we explore the precise synthesis and assembly of ATP synthase subunits to address the uneven stoichiometry within the complex during transcription, translation, and assembly processes.

However, the biological characteristics of early-stage Ns-NSCLC, especially in the Chinese population, are still unclear.
Methods: Multi-omics interrogation of early-stage Ns-NSCLC (stage I-III), paired blood samples and normal lung tissues (n=76) by whole-exome sequencing (WES), RNA sequencing, and T-cell receptor (TCR) sequencing were conducted.
Purpose: To evaluate whether the modified suture-button Latarjet procedure with coracoacromial ligament (CAL) and pectoralis minor (PM) preservation could achieve excellent outcomes at the 2-year follow-up.
Methods: During January 2019 to January 2021, the data of patients who underwent modified suture-button Latarjet with CAL and PM preservation in our department were collected. The glenoid bone loss of these patients was greater than 20% or greater than 10% with high demands for exercise.
Background: Cardiac ultrasound is one of the most important examinations in cardiovascular medicine, but the technical requirements for the operator are relatively high, which to some extent affects the scope of its use. This study was dedicated to investigating the agreement of ejection fraction between coronary computed tomography (CT) and cardiac ultrasound and diagnostic performance in evaluating the clinical diagnosis of patients with chronic heart failure.
Methods: We conducted a single-center-based retrospective study including 343 consecutive patients enrolled between January 2019 to April 2020, all of whom presented with suspected symptoms of heart failure within one month.
Rationale And Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop a deep learning radiomics nomogram (DLRN) based on B-mode ultrasound (BMUS) and color doppler flow imaging (CDFI) images for preoperative assessment of lymphovascular invasion (LVI) status in invasive breast cancer (IBC).
Materials And Methods: In this multicenter, retrospective study, 832 pathologically confirmed IBC patients were recruited from eight hospitals. The samples were divided into training, internal test, and external test sets.
The Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX®) is a widely utilized country-specific calculator for identifying individuals with high fracture risk; its score is calculated from 12 variables, but its formulation is not publicly disclosed. We aimed to decompose and simplify the FRAX® by utilizing a nationwide community survey database as a reference module for creating a local assessment tool for osteoporotic fracture community screening in any country. Participants ( = 16384; predominantly women (75%); mean age = 64.
