[Concentration of TNF-alpha in the postoperative period in patients with benign adnexal tumors treated by laparoscopy or laparotomy].

Objectives: The aim of the study was to compare serum concentrations of the TNF-alpha (TNF-alpha) in the early postoperative period in patients with benign adnexal masses operated by laparoscopy or laparotomy.

Material And Methods: The study was conducted in a group of patients aged from 20 to 52, operated due to adnexal masses. Out of 40 patients included in the study, 25 underwent laparoscopy and 15 underwent laparotomy.

[Serum levels of proinflammatory cytokines in women with uterine myomas].

The levels of proinflammatory cytokines, namely IL-1 alpha, IL-6 and TNF-alpha were determined in blood serum of 26 women with uterine myomas and in 20 healthy controls. A significantly elevated concentration of IL-1 alpha was found in patients with uterine myomas. Levels of IL-6 and TNF-alpha were insignificantly higher in women with myomas.
