In recent years, mobile laser measurement systems have markedly enhanced the capabilities of deformation detection and defect identification within metro tunnels, attributed to their superior efficiency, precision, and versatility. Nevertheless, challenges persist, including substantial equipment costs, inadequate after-sales support, technological barriers, and limitations in customization. This paper develops a mobile laser measurement system that has been specifically developed for the purpose of detecting deformation in metro tunnels.

To address the challenge of accurately capturing tool wear states in small sample scenarios, this paper proposes a tool wear prediction method that combines XGBoost feature selection with a PSO-BP network. In order to solve the problem of input feature selection and parameter selection in BP neural network, a double-layer programming model of input feature and parameter selection is established, which is solved by XGBoost and PSO. Initially, vibration and cutting force signals from CNC machining are preprocessed using time-domain segmentation, Hampel filtering, and wavelet denoising.

Background: Revision surgery for patients with persistent, recurrent, or progressive syringomyelia following foramen magnum decompression (FMD) for Chiari malformation I-syringomyelia (CM-SM) is not uncommon and presents both strategic and technical challenges.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective study including all patients who underwent revision Cerebellar Tonsillectomy (CTL) for CM-SM between 2003 and 2023. Additionally, we performed uni- and multivariate analyses to identify possible factors contributing to failed CTL outcomes.

Pancreatic cancer is characterized by an insidious onset and high degree of malignancy, with a 5-year survival rate of less than 11%. Perineural invasion (PNI) is one of the pathological features of pancreatic cancer and provides a pathway for distant tumor metastasis, which leads to a poor prognosis. Although NEAT1 promotes the progression of pancreatic cancer, its impact on PNI has not been studied.

Chronic consequences of diabetes that are most commonly encountered are diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), driven by microbiota-immune system dyshomeostasis, eventually leading to delayed wound healing. Available therapies, such as systemic or topical administration of anti-inflammatory or antimicrobial agents, are limited due to antibiotic resistance and immune dysfunction. Herein, a hybrid hydrogel dressing is developed as the artificial bioadhesive barrier at wound sites to maintain microbial and immunological homeostasis locally and have potent anti-inflammatory effects.
