Given that proteins with minor variations in amino acid sequences cause distinct functional outcomes, identifying and quantifying similar proteins is crucial, but remains a long-standing challenge. Herein, we present a two-dimensional orthogonal fluorescence and chemiluminescence design strategy for the probe DCM-SA, which is sequentially activated by albumin-mediated hydrolysis, exhibiting light-up fluorescence and photo-induced cycloaddition generating chemiluminescence, enabling orthogonal signal amplification for discrimination of subtle differences between similar proteins. By orthogonalizing these dual-mode signals, a two-dimensional work curve of fluorescence and chemiluminescence is established to distinguish and quantify similar proteins HSA and BSA.

High-Performance Ultraviolet Photodetector Based on the Vertical GaSe/GaN Heterojunction.

Ultraviolet light detection is essential for environmental monitoring, hazard alerting, and optical communication. Here, a vertical UV photodetector is proposed and demonstrated by stacking the freestanding GaN-film on the 2D GaSe flake. Background: 5-Hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) modification represents a significant epigenetic modification within DNA, playing a pivotal role in a range of biological processes associated with various types of cancer. The role of 5hmC in systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) has not been thoroughly investigated. This study aims to examine the function of 5hmC in the advancement of ALCL.

Disparities in anxiety and related factors among Chinese older adults across different aged-care models: a comparison of two cross-sectional studies.

Background: Anxiety disorders in older adults have become a prominent public health problem due to their concomitant chronic conditions, reduced quality of life and even death. However, fewer studies have been conducted on differences in anxiety among older individuals in different aged-care models, and the interactive relationship between the influencing factors on anxiety remains unclear. The study aimed to examine the disparities in the prevalence of anxiety between community-dwelling and institutionalized older adults and related influencing factors.

Prognostic and diagnostic value of [F]FDG, C-acetate, and [Ga]Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT for hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objectives: To assess the prognostic value of Fluorine 18-labeled fluorodeoxyglucose [F]FDG, gallium 68-labeled fibroblast-activation protein inhibitor-04 [Ga]Ga-FAPI-04, C-acetate in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and evaluate the potential usefulness and advantages of different combinations for accurate diagnosis.

Materials And Methods: Thirty-six patients with suspected hepatic masses were prospectively enrolled from May 2021 to September 2022 and underwent [F]FDG, [Ga]Ga-FAPI-04, and C-acetate PET/CT scans before surgery. PET/CT results and histopathologic examinations were independently interpreted by two radiologists and pathologists, respectively.
