Background: Persistent inflammation in the airways is a hallmark of asthma, and researchers have extensively explored various inflammatory indicators that contribute to the condition. Despite this, there is limited research on the relationship between the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), a novel marker of inflammation, and overall mortality rates as well as mortality rates due to specific causes in individuals with asthma.

Protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) regulates multiple protein functions by catalyzing the oxidation, reduction, and isomerization of disulfide bonds. The enzyme is considered a potential target for treating thrombosis. Background: Sevoflurane (Sev) is an inhalational anesthetic for surgical procedures where it can trigger cognitive dysfunction and neuronal apoptosis. Gyosaponin (GpS) was studied for its effects on brain morphology and cognitive behaviors in Sev-anesthetized rats.

Background: Preimplantation genetic testing for chromosomal structural rearrangements (PGT-SR) has been widely utilized to select euploid embryos in patients carrying balanced chromosomal rearrangements (BCRs) by chromosome copy number analysis. However, reliable and extensively validated PGT-SR methods for selecting embryos without BCRs in large-cohort studies are lacking.

Methods: In this prospective, multicenter, cohort study, carriers with BCRs undergoing PGT-SR were recruited across 12 academic fertility centers within China.
