The wellknown principle of the overcoming of an iodination blockade of the thyroid gland by TSH-stimulation is diagnostically effective in the thyroid gland blocked by iodine or medicaments. The up to now not suitable method gains importance in an increasing number of blocked scintigrams within the framework of the prophylaxis of struma with iodide/iodate. Exact indications are shown.
