Article Synopsis
  • The study reviewed cases of spinal epidural arteriovenous fistulas (SEAVFs) at a medical institution, focusing on patient demographics, symptoms, treatment, and outcomes from June 2010 to August 2020.
  • A total of 9 cases were identified, with a median age of 67 years, where all patients had associated spinal stenosis and/or disc herniation.
  • The findings suggest that SEAVFs may develop as a result of acquired conditions in older adults, possibly due to increased venous pressure from related spinal issues.
