Introduction: Hyperparathyroidism (HPT) can contribute to metabolic bone disease following kidney transplantation. We evaluated post-transplant trends in intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) and determined predictors of HPT in pediatric kidney transplant (KTx) recipients.
Methods: In this single-center study, retrospective data were collected on 88 children from 2013 to 2019.
Infective endocarditis (IE) can cause multiorgan dysfunction and chronic kidney disease, in addition to cardiac sequelae. The presentation may be vague and can manifest as acute glomerulonephritis. While the most common pathogens of infective endocarditis are and species, we report a rare pathogen causing infective endocarditis associated glomerulonephritis.

Studies of the impact of fetal intervention through vesicoamniotic shunting are marred by a device malfunction rate of up to 60%. In this study, we delineate the postnatal course and infant kidney function following definitive urinary diversion .

In adults with LN, AKI severity correlates with the incidence of kidney failure and patient survival. Data on AKI outcomes in children with LN, particularly those requiring kidney replacement therapy (KRT), are limited.
