Due to a global shortage of nursing staff, there is renewed attention on the impact of leadership and management styles on the sustainability of the nursing workforce. Emotional intelligence (EI), the ability to manage both your own emotions and to perceive and understand the emotions of others, has been implicated as a nursing management style impacting reduced turnover and greater nurse wellbeing. Despite these promising findings, there is a dearth of research on the role of emotionally intelligent leadership on the retention of mental health nurses.

Extensive Myocardial Calcification Rapidly Progressing After Orthotopic Liver Transplantation.

Orthotopic liver transplantation has been rarely associated with myocardial calcification; no prior cases of asymptomatic calcification have been documented. We present the unique finding of asymptomatic myocardial calcification following orthotopic liver transplantation.

Transition to Adulthood: Executive Functions and Independent Living Skills in Autistic Young Adults.

This study investigated differences in independent living skills and executive functioning skills between autistic and neurotypical young adults in addition to how executive functioning skills contribute to independent living skills in autistic young adults. Participants completed the as a measure of independent living skills and the version to measure executive functioning abilities. Phase II Trial of Nivolumab Plus Doxorubicin, Vinblastine, Dacarbazine as Frontline Therapy in Older Adults With Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Purpose: We conducted a phase I/II study evaluating nivolumab plus doxorubicin, vinblastine, dacarbazine (N-AVD) as frontline therapy for treatment-naïve older adults (OA) with classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL; ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT03033914).

Methods: Patients age ≥60 years with newly diagnosed, any stage, cHL were treated with six cycles of AVD at standard doses plus nivolumab 240 mg intravenously once every 2 weeks (on days 1 and 15) of each cycle.

Member Adherence to a Health Insurer-Sponsored Gap Closure Program Using Multi-Target Stool DNA Test for Colorectal Cancer Screening.

Objectives: To describe member adherence to a mail-based, health insurer-sponsored gap closure program for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening using multi-target stool DNA (mt-sDNA; Cologuard) tests.

Methods: Combined patient data from Exact Sciences Laboratories LLC and data from mass-mailed mt-sDNA orders placed by a large Medicare Advantage Insurance Plan were analyzed (03/01/2023-06/30/2023). Adherence and time to test return were the primary and secondary outcomes, respectively.
