Background: In CT, the volumetric CT dose index (CTDI), dose-length product (DLP) and patient's size-specific dose estimates (SSDE) are used as diagnostic reference level (DRL) metrics.

Objectives: To develop clinical local DRL values for CT chest-abdomen-pelvis (CAP) examinations using the CTDI, DLP and SSDE, and to determine the image quality achieved.

Method: In total, 201 cancer patients were included in the study.

Purpose: To develop and validate an automated software analysis method for mammography image quality assessment of the American College of Radiology (ACR) digital mammography (DM) phantom images.

Methods: Twenty-seven DICOM images were acquired using Fuji mammography systems. All images were evaluated by three expert medical physicists using the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) mammography quality control guideline.

Tuberculosis (TB) remains the second leading cause of death globally from a single infectious agent, and there is a critical need to develop improved imaging biomarkers and aid rapid assessments of responses to therapy. We aimed to utilize radiomics, a rapidly developing image analysis tool, to develop a scoring system for this purpose. A chest X-ray radiomics score (RadScore) was developed by implementing a unique segmentation method, followed by feature extraction and parameter map construction.

Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) is an inborn error of immunity characterised by opportunistic infection and sterile granulomatous inflammation. CGD is caused by a failure of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production by the phagocyte NADPH oxidase. Mutations in the genes encoding phagocyte NADPH oxidase subunits cause CGD.

Introduction: Diagnostic reference level (DRL) values for computed tomography (CT) based on clinical indication are warranted since imaging protocols are indication-dependent. This study proposes clinical DRL values using the CT dose metrics and five patient size-related parameters while considering image quality.

Methods: The volumetric CT dose index (CTDI), dose-length product (DLP) and five size-related parameters of size-specific dose estimates (SSDE), namely the anterior-posterior (AP) dimension, lateral (LAT) dimension, sum dimension, effective diameter, and the body mass index (BMI), were used to calculate DRL values for CT chest-abdomen-pelvis (CAP) and abdomen-pelvis (AbP) protocols.
