Tenebrio molitor has gained attention as a potential solution for plastic pollution. This study explored the biodegradation of polystyrene (PS) by mealworms co-fed with rice bran (RB) under an optimized rearing scheme. The RB co-diet significantly increased PS consumption by two-fold compared to wheat bran (WB).

Background: Short-term percutaneous mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices provide hemodynamic support in cardiogenic shock or during high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Aims: To assess the impact of age on the clinical and angiographic characteristics and in-hospital outcomes of all patients undergoing PCI with the Impella MCS.
Methods: Data on all patients that underwent PCI with an Impella was divided into three groups according to age: < 65, 65 to < 75 years, and ≥ 75 years.
Introduction And Significance: Thymic cysts are rare, located in the middle mediastinum, and are often asymptomatic and discovered incidentally. When they are symptomatic, the symptoms are often due to the effect of the mass, and complete surgical excision is preferred to avoid the risk of complications following their persistence.
Case Presentation: We present a case of a patient who had recurrent dyspnea and was later diagnosed with a cystic formation in the middle mediastinum by radiological investigations and successfully treated through a neck incision and completely resected.
Background: Determining the clinical neurological state of the patient is essential for making decisions and forecasting results. The Glasgow Coma Scale and the Full Outline of Unresponsiveness (FOUR) Scale are commonly used tools for measuring behavioral consciousness. This study aims to compare scales among patients with neurological disorders in intensive care units (ICUs) in the West Bank.
