Background: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is one of the most catastrophic injuries that might lead to permanent use of a wheelchair and severely affects the quality of life, hence SCI patients report lower satisfaction with life (SWL) than the general population. Therefore, it is important to identify factors that determine SWL among wheelchair users with SCI. Our study aimed to assess the prevalence of low SWL and to identify its determinants among wheelchair users with SCI in Egypt.

The aim of this study was to explore patterns of complementary and alternative medicine use among Arab immigrants in Denmark, in order to increase insight into the hidden practices of this ethnic group. Background And Study Aims: Mutations within the major hydrophilic region (MHR) of the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) have been reported in relation to viral persistence by evasion from vaccine and immunotherapy, severity of liver disease and lack of detection by commercial kits. The aim of this study was to elucidate the circulation of hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotypes, subgenotypes and serotypes in Egypt, with recognition of the pattern and prevalence of MHR mutations possibly occurring during the course of the disease.
