Background: Pre-frailty is highly prevalent and multimodal lifestyle interventions are effective for preventing transition to frailty. However, little is known about the potential for medical group visits (MGV) to prevent frailty progression.
Objectives: To assess the feasibility and acceptability of the MGV Age Self Care-Resilience.
Introduction: Limited research suggests that spinal manipulative therapy (SMT) might positively influence balance, yet its association with falls remains underexplored. We hypothesized that older adults receiving chiropractic SMT for spinal pain would have a reduced fall risk during 13 months of follow-up compared to matched controls.
Methods: We searched >116 million patient records from TriNetX (2013-2023; Cambridge, MA, US) to identify adults aged ≥65 years with spinal pain.
Background: Antivirals are effective in reducing hospitalisation and death in mild-to-moderate coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) patients. We estimated the antiviral uptake of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir and molnupiravir in adult patients with a syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection during the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) period in Taiwan.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted in Taiwan between January 2022 and December 2022.
Lifestyle medicine (LM) utilizes evidence-based therapeutic lifestyle changes to address lifestyle factors that impact health, performance, and injury risk and recovery. By integrating LM principles into clinical care, workplace policies, and programs, along with other evidence-based methods, occupational and environmental medicine clinicians and medical directors can enhance worker health and performance, manage chronic disease, and facilitate faster recovery from injury and illness. This guidance addresses approaches that can be used in the clinic and workplace to address tobacco, substance misuse, nutrition, physical activity, overweight/obesity, sleep, mental well-being, and social connectedness.
