Mental Health Care Works: Insights From a Public Service Campaign.

The United States is experiencing a mental health crisis, with COVID-19 increasing the prevalence of mental health concerns and demand for services, but also leaving millions without care, including many who do not know that treatment is needed or available. The American Psychiatric Association Foundation's Mental Health Care Works campaign was informed by results from an assessment of mental health awareness and perceptions of adults in the United States. These results highlighted the need for more public education about the efficacy of mental health care and ongoing need to normalize treatment and make care more accessible and relatable.

This case report examines the hospital course of a 75-year-old male with a history of atrial fibrillation and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), who presented with compromised respiratory status and recurrent infections, highlighting the complexities of clinical management in the setting of multidrug-resistant HFpEF organisms and postoperative complications. The patient was admitted following an episode of ventricular tachycardia and acute respiratory failure, requiring rapid airway management and intensive clinical intervention.

Prospective Evaluation of Supplemental External Beam Radiation Therapy With Palladium-103 Prostate Brachytherapy: Long-Term Results of the 44/20/0 Trials.

Purpose: The 44/20 and 20/0 randomized trials evaluated whether different external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) dosing regimens prior to brachytherapy affected biochemical failure (BF). We report long-term outcomes of both trials and evaluate whether biological equivalent dose (BED) was associated with reduced BF in the combined trial cohort.

Methods And Materials: Both trials enrolled patients with clinical T1c to T2b, Gleason scores 7 to 9, and/or a pretreatment prostate-specific antigen (PSA) 10 to 20 ng/mL disease.
