The use of vanadium(V)-based materials as electrode materials in electrochemical energy storage (EES) devices is promising due to their structural and chemical variety, abundance, and low cost. V-based materials with a layered structure and high multielectron transfer in the redox reaction have been actively explored for energy storage. Our current work presents the structural and electrochemical properties of a vanadium-based composite with TiO@TiC MXene, referred to as VM.

APOBEC3 (or A3) enzymes have emerged as potential therapeutic targets due to their role in introducing heterogeneity in viruses and cancer, often leading to drug resistance. Inhibiting these enzymes has remained elusive as initial phosphodiester (PO) linked DNA based inhibitors lack stability and potency. We have enhanced both potency and nuclease stability, of 2'-deoxy-zebularine (dZ), substrate-based oligonucleotide inhibitors for two critical A3's: A3A and A3G.

Factors Influencing Cervical Cancer Screening Uptake among Reproductive-Aged Filipino Women: Findings from the 2022 Philippines National Demographic and Health Survey.

Background: Cervical cancer (CC) is the fourth leading cause of death among cancer cases and women intimate partner violence (IPV) survivors are more likely to experience CC-related mortality. This study aims to evaluate the factors influencing CC screening uptake among reproductive-aged women, especially among IPV survivors in the Philippines.

Method: We used the 2022 Philippines' National Demographic and Health Survey.

Predictors of fall protection motivation among older adults in rural communities in a middle-income country: A cross-sectional study using the Protection Motivation Theory.

Aims: To evaluate factors associated with fall protection motivation to engage in fall preventive behaviour among rural community-dwelling older adults aged 55 and above using the protection motivation theory scale.

Design: A cross-sectional study.

Methods: The study was conducted in a healthcare clinic in Malaysia, using multistage random sampling from November 2021 to January 2022.
