Severe coxsackie virus B5 encephalitis mimics autoimmune limbic encephalitis in a young woman under long-term B-cell depletion with ocrelizumab: A case report.

Background: B-cell-depleting therapies are increasingly being used to treat autoimmune diseases. Although thousands of patients are and have been treated with these agents, the data are not yet strong enough to identify rare side effects with certainty.

Methods: We report the case of a patient undergoing ocrelizumab therapy for relapsing multiple sclerosis who developed a severe limbic syndrome.

S2k-Guideline hand antisepsis and hand hygiene.

The consensus-based guideline "hand antisepsis and hand hygiene" for Germany has the following sections: Prevention of nosocomial infections by hygienic hand antisepsis, prevention of surgical site infections by surgical hand antisepsis, infection prevention in the community by hand antisepsis in epidemic or pandemic situations, hand washing, selection of alcohol-based hand rubs and wash lotions, medical gloves and protective gloves, preconditions for hand hygiene, skin protection and skin care, quality assurance of the implementation of hand hygiene measures and legal aspects. The guideline was developed by the German Society for Hospital Hygiene in cooperation with 22 professional societies, 2 professional organizations, the German Care Council, the Federal Working Group for Self-Help of People with Disabilities and Chronic Illness and their Family Members, the General Accident Insurance Institution Austria and the German-speaking Interest Group of Infection Prevention Experts and Hospital Hygiene Consultants.

Epigenetic Characteristics in Primary and Recurrent Glioblastoma-Influence on the Clinical Course.

Objective: Epigenetic tumor characteristics are in focus for glioblastoma prognosis. This raises the question if these characteristics present with stable expression during the progression of the disease, and if potential temporal instability might influence their prognostic value.

Methods: A total of 44 patients suffering from glioblastoma who were treated for their primary and relapse tumors were included in the study.

Confocal laser endomicroscopy in glial tumors-a histomorphological analysis.

Objective: The extent of resection and neurological outcome are important prognostic markers for overall survival in glioma patients. Confocal laser endomicroscopy is a tool to examine tissue without the need for fixation or staining. This study aims to analyze gliomas in confocal laser endomicroscopy and identify reliable diagnostic criteria for glial matter and glial tumors.

Development of an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the Quantification of ARID1A in Tissue Lysates.

ARID1A is a subunit of the mammalian SWI/SNF complex, which is thought to regulate gene expression through restructuring chromatin structures. Its gene is frequently mutated and ARID1A levels are lowered in several human cancers, especially gynecologic ones. A functional ARID1A loss may have prognostic or predictive value in terms of therapeutic strategies but has not been proposed based on a quantitative method.
