The structures of the new compounds were established using spectral methods. For five of the new compounds, the sugar is attached via the hydroxymethyl group of the anthraquinone C-2 carbon.

Here, we focused on the protective effect of Okinawa Noni juice (ONJ) against ischemic stress using cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model mice. We found that free intake of 10% ONJ for 7 days showed the protective effect on neuronal damage after ischemic stress, while 3% ONJ did not show such effects.

Here, we investigated the role of school pharmacists as medical caregivers at the time of the Kobe earthquake and elucidated their future necessity by questionnaire intended for pharmacists and nurse-teachers.
