In this study, we investigated the expression changes and interactions between miR4298 and lncKRTAP5-6-3 in chronically UVB-damaged human keratinocyte cell line (HaCaT) cells and explored miR4298-MAPK/ERK signaling pathway-Cathepsin D-lncKRTAP5-6-3 mechanisms in photoaging cells.

RACGAP1 is a Rho-GTPase-activating protein originally discovered in male germ cells to inactivate Rac, RhoA and Cdc42 from the GTP-bound form to the GDP-bound form. GAP has traditionally been known as a tumor suppressor. However, studies increasingly suggest that overexpressed RACGAP1 activates Rac and RhoA in multiple cancers to mediate downstream oncogene overexpression by assisting in the nuclear translocation of signaling molecules and to promote cytokinesis by regulating the cytoskeleton or serving as a component of the central spindle.

Protraction of a mandibular second molar to substitute the adjacent missing first molar is challenging in clinical practice. In this case report, we demonstrated a 21-year-old patient with an untreatable periapical lesion of the mandibular right first molar. The adjacent mandibular second molar had normal root length and the third molar was mesially-impacted.

Parkinson's disease (PD), a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system, is commonly diagnosed using functional medical imaging techniques such as single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). In this study, we utilized two SPECT data sets (n = 634 and n = 202) from different hospitals to develop a model capable of accurately predicting PD stages, a multiclass classification task. We used the entire three-dimensional (3D) brain images as input and experimented with various model architectures.

Objective: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a heterogeneous disease which manifests as different subphenotypes. Distinct subphenotypes, such as lupus nephritis (LN), have been associated with increased genetic risk, but prior studies have been limited by cross-sectional and imprecisely subphenotyped cohorts.
