In industrialized areas, air pollution is a recurring problem, especially in areas with high manufacturing and energy-intensive businesses. The challenge lies in the tension between industrial growth and environmental protection, as these sectors significantly contribute to pollution, resource depletion, and climate change. The objectives of the study were (1) to assess the contribution of each industrial group to the air quality in and around the Pasir Gudang industrial area, Malaysia, and (2) to evaluate the Air Pollution Index (API).

Our team developed a transportable dual hypothermic oxygenated machine perfusion (DHOPE) device, which initiates DHOPE at a recipient center to reduce static cold storage (SCS) time and the risk of graft failure in DCD liver transplantation.
Methods: Six porcine livers per group with 30 min of warm ischemia exposure were preserved via SCS or DHOPE for 6 h and then reperfused for 12 h with whole blood to mimic transplantation.
Objective: To assess the diagnostic accuracy and postnatal outcomes of fetuses with a suspected vascular ring (VR).
Study Design: Single-center retrospective study of patients with suspected VR by fetal echocardiography. Postnatal evaluation included echocardiography +/- cross-sectional imaging.
Background: A small-molecule injectable drug, CBL-514, has shown promising efficacy and safety for subcutaneous fat reduction.
Objectives: To further evaluate the efficacy and safety of CBL-514 for abdominal subcutaneous fat reduction.
Methods: In this single-blind, randomized, parallel-group, placebo-controlled Phase 2 trial, 76 participants were randomized (2:1) to receive up to four CBL-514 treatments (2mg/cm², maximum 600mg/treatment) or placebo, administered subcutaneously to the abdomen every 4 weeks.
Structured RNAs play a crucial role in regulating gene expression, which includes both protein synthesis and RNA processing. Dysregulation of these processes is associated with various conditions, including viral and bacterial infections, as well as cancer. The unique tertiary structures of structured RNAs provide an opportunity for small molecules to directly modulate such processes, making them promising targets for drug discovery.
