Anaplastic large cell lymphoma with primary presentation in, and disease limited to, the central nervous system (primary CNS ALCL) is a rare and aggressive lymphoma found in a sensitive anatomic site. We report the clinical and pathologic characteristics of 17 primary CNS ALCL cases that are newly reported from six academic medical centers. We are investigating the characteristics of these cases, alongside their commonalities and differences from systemic ALCL arising at conventional anatomic sites.

Introduction: Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) represent a substantial global public health challenge with multifaceted impacts on individuals, families, and healthcare systems. Brief cognitive screening tools such as the Mini-Cog© can help improve recognition of ADRD in clinical practice, but widespread adoption continues to lag. We compared the Digital Clock and Recall (DCR), a next-generation process-driven adaptation of the Mini-Cog, with the original paper-and-pencil version in a well-characterized clinical trial sample.

Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare, highly aggressive skin cancer of neuroendocrine origin that is typically associated with either the presence of Merkel cell polyomavirus or chronic exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. We report a case of relapsed MCC that presented with new symptoms of fatigue, back pain, and myeloid left shift identified during scheduled follow-up. The patient was found to have circulating neoplastic cells in the peripheral blood and bone marrow metastasis.
