Objective: To compare stone-free rates (SFRs), operative times, and transfusion rates of various endoscopic techniques for kidney stone management.

Methods: A systematic review was performed, identifying studies comparing the different endoscopic techniques in patients with renal stones. Studies were grouped by location and size of stones (lower pole, 1-2cm, and >2 cm).

Development of a model predicting falls in older emergency department patients using smartphone-based mobility measures.

Objective: While emergency departments (EDs) are crucial for identifying patients at risk for falls, existing fall risk measures are often inaccurate. This study aimed to assess whether iPhone sensor-based mobility measures collected after ED discharge can improve fall prediction compared with traditional ED-based screening measures.

Methods: This single-center, observational cohort study recruited ED patients aged 60 or older who owned an iPhone.

Comparison of Refractive Outcomes After Phacoemulsification and Combined 25-Gauge Phacovitrectomy with Implantation of Plate-Haptic Toric Intraocular Lenses.

: To compare intraocular lens (IOL) position and refractive outcomes between eyes that underwent sole phacoemulsification with those that underwent combined 25-gauge phacovitrectomy with a plate-haptic toric IOL implantation. : This retrospective study included 60 eyes of 60 patients. Of these, 30 eyes underwent 25-gauge phacovitrectomy, while the other 30 eyes received phacoemulsification alone.

Intrinsically disordered RNA-binding motifs cooperate to catalyze RNA folding and drive phase separation.

RNA-binding proteins are essential for gene regulation and the spatial organization of cells. Here, we report that the yeast ribosome biogenesis factor Loc1p is an intrinsically disordered RNA-binding protein with eight repeating positively charged, unstructured nucleic acid binding (PUN) motifs. While a single of these previously undefined motifs stabilizes folded RNAs, multiple copies strongly cooperate to catalyze RNA folding.
