Background: The vast majority of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients have a single translocation t(9;22)(q34;q11), BCR/ABL1 fusion genes, which is regarded as the hallmark of CML. However, around 5 to 10% of CML patients exhibit the involvement of a third chromosome. In some very rare cases a fourth or even fifth chromosome can be involved with the t(9;22).

We report a 38-year-old Saudi male with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). The patient presented with rare and unusual neurological manifestations, including but not limited to ophthalmoplegia and myopathic pattern on his electromyography. In addition to hand weakness, there was skin hyperextensibility, joint hyperflexibility, and frontal baldness.

Purpose: To summarize the main findings from research on food uses of Pine Bark Phenolic Extracts (PBPE), their origin, methods of extraction, composition, health effects, and incorporation into food products.
Methods: A narrative review of all the relevant papers known to the authors was conducted.
Results: PBPE are mainly extracted from the bark Pinus pinaster.
