Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is a rare and aggressive thyroid malignancy typically comprised of undifferentiated tumor cells with various histologic morphologies, which makes the diagnosis challenging. These tumors commonly show loss of thyroglobulin and TTF1 with preservation of cytokeratin (67%) and Paired Box Gene 8 (PAX8) (55%) expression. Identification of a sensitive immunohistochemical stain to aid in the diagnosis of ATC would be beneficial.

We aimed to estimate the secondary attack rate of mpox among UK household contacts and determine factors associated with transmission to inform public health management of contacts, during the global outbreak in 2022. Information was collected via NHS and public health services and included age, gender, place of residence, setting, and type of contact. Aggregate information was summarized for the UK.

The purpose of this study is to further validate the utility of our previously developed CNN in an alternative small animal model of BM through transfer learning. Unlike the glioma model, the BM mouse model develops multifocal intracranial metastases, including both contrast enhancing and non-enhancing lesions on DCE MRI, thus serving as an excellent brain tumor model to study tumor vascular permeability. Here, we conducted transfer learning by transferring the previously trained GBM CNN to DCE MRI datasets of BM mice.
