Background: Treatment of Primary metatarsal aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) with curettage and bone grafting unfortunately has a high recurrence rate, particularly in short tubular bones. This study presents a 16-year experience treating ABCs in the bones of the foot at an orthopaedic oncology referral center. Treatment involved en bloc resection and reconstruction of the defect with fibular allograft in all cases.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included all hospitalizations under the coverage of the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon between 2011 and 2019. We calculated 30-day all-cause readmissions following general, pneumonia, cholecystectomy and stroke cases.
Introduction: The renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) plays a pivotal role in regulating blood pressure (BP), with dysregulation of RAAS resulting in hypertension and potentially heart failure (HF), myocardial infarction (MI), cardio-renal syndrome, and stroke. RAAS inhibitors, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEis) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs), have advantages beyond BP control. However, differences between these two drug classes need to be considered when choosing a therapy for preventing cardiovascular events.

This study aimed to investigate 30-day all-cause mortality in Egyptian patients with CS at tertiary referral centers.
Results: This prospective, observational multicenter registry analyzed 16,681 patients from six cardiac centers, to evaluate the incidence, causes and predictors of CS-related mortality.
