Purpose: The purpose of this study is to report the results in a series of acrylic orbital implant placements without the use of wrapping material.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the records of the patients who underwent enucleation with acrylic orbital implant insertion without scleral wrapping at the Department of Ophthalmology, Poznań University of Medical Sciences, Poland, between 2013 and 2020.

Results: There were 192 patients: 102 women and 90 men, mean age: 60 years (range: 13-90 years).

Liquid-liquid phase separation of flexible biomolecules has been identified as a ubiquitous phenomenon underlying the formation of membraneless organelles that harbor a multitude of essential cellular processes. We use nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to compare the dynamic properties of an intrinsically disordered protein (measles virus ) in the dilute and dense phases at atomic resolution. By measuring N NMR relaxation at different magnetic field strengths, we are able to characterize the dynamics of the protein in dilute and crowded conditions and to compare the amplitude and timescale of the different motional modes to those present in the membraneless organelle.

Intrinsically disordered proteins are ubiquitous throughout all known proteomes, playing essential roles in all aspects of cellular and extracellular biochemistry. To understand their function, it is necessary to determine their structural and dynamic behavior and to describe the physical chemistry of their interaction trajectories. Nuclear magnetic resonance is perfectly adapted to this task, providing ensemble averaged structural and dynamic parameters that report on each assigned resonance in the molecule, unveiling otherwise inaccessible insight into the reaction kinetics and thermodynamics that are essential for function.

Uveal melanoma is the most common primary malignancy of the eye in adults. It may involve the choroid and ciliary body, and in only 2-3% of cases it involves the iris. We present a case of a 56-year-old patient with a 6-year history of unilateral, inflammatory, refractory glaucoma of the right eye.

Introduction: The role of the eyelids is to protect and moisturise the eye. Despite its small relative surface area, 5-10% of skin cancers originate in the eyelids.

Aim: To assess the prevalence of different types of skin lesions in the area of eyelids based on retrospective histopathology data from a tertiary centre.
