Objective: To assess neonatal and maternal characteristics, glycaemic status and comorbidities in the neonates of diabetic mothers.
Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted from October 2021 to May 2022 at the Department of Physiology, College of Medicine, University of Mustansiriyah, Baghdad, Iraq, and comprised healthy women. Samples were raised by simple random technique.
Objective: To assess growth parameters in adolescents and children with type 1 diabetes mellitus, and the factors influencing their growth.
Methods: The case-control study was conducted from February to December 2020 at the Endocrine Outpatient Clinic of the Central Child Teaching Hospital of Paediatrics, Baghdad, Iraq, and comprised patients aged 2-16 years who had type 1 diabetes for at least a year. The patients formed group A, while healthy controls matched for age and gender from different schools and kindergartens formed group B.
The huge demands for petrochemicals have led to a rapid increase in the production of these fossil-based derivatives. Biomass represents a promising feedstock for addressing the challenges related to petrochemicals in terms of the necessity to apply renewable sources and the need to decrease carbon emissions. Materials And Methods: Blood samples were taken from the coccygeal veins of calves ( 92), yearlings ( 95), lactating ( 90), and dry ( 94) cows, which were subjected to microscopic and molecular identification of hemoparasites. The prevalence rate was determined based on the proportion of infected samples in the observed samples.
The COVID-19 vaccination has been reported to have various post-vaccination effects, including potential changes in the menstrual cycle among menstruators of reproductive age. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between COVID-19 vaccination and menstrual changes among menstruators within Iraqi society and contribute to the knowledge about COVID-19 vaccine-related menstrual changes. The cross-sectional study involved a sample of 400 menstruators residing in Erbil City, Kurdistan Region, Iraq.
