Background: Existing approaches for measuring hemostasis parameters require multiple platforms, can take hours to provide results, and generally require 1-25 mL of sample. We developed a diagnostic platform that allows comprehensive assessment of hemostatic parameters on a single instrument and provides results within 15 min using 0.04 mL of blood with minimal sample handling.

Here, we present a laboratory-on-a-chip microfluidic device (LOC-DLA) that integrates two unique assays for the detection of airborne pathogens: direct linear analysis (DLA) with unsurpassed specificity for bacterial threats and Digital DNA for toxins and viruses. The LOC-DLA device also prepares samples for analysis, incorporating upstream functions for concentrating and fractionating DNA.

The rigid, product-adapted framework of the pincer bis(ortho-phosphinoaryl)amine (PNP) ligand may contribute to the ease of the N-C and N-H cleavage. The migration of Me from N of the coordinated amine moiety to Rh proceeds with near-zero entropy of activation in solution.
