The analysis of protein-ligand binding sites plays a crucial role in the initial stages of drug discovery. Accurately predicting the ligand types that are likely to bind to protein-ligand binding sites enables more informed decision making in drug design. Our study, DeepLigType, determines protein-ligand binding sites using Fpocket and then predicts the ligand type of these pockets with the deep learning model, Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) with ResNet.

CoO nanoparticles were successfully created by encapsulating them in N-doped amorphous carbon matrices by using the molten salt-assisted approach. In this process, different amounts of potassium iodate and zeolitic imidazolate framework-12 (ZIF-12) were used, followed by pyrolysis at 800 °C.

Thymic tumors are very rare neoplasms in children and account for less than 1% of mediastinal tumors in pediatric patients. One-third of the pediatric patients present with symptoms related to the compression of the tumor mass on the surrounding anatomic structures, and paraneoplastic syndromes such as myasthenia gravis, pure red cell aplasia, acquired hypogammaglobulinemia, and connective tissue disorders, which rarely occur in children with thymic tumors. Herein, we report a case of thymic carcinoma mimicking the symptoms of a connective tissue disease with symmetrical polyarthritis accompanying myositis, fever, weight loss, and malaise in a 15-year-old male patient.

Methods: The sample of this cross-sectional study consisted of 103 parents of children with epilepsy registered at a state hospital in a city with middle socio-economic status located in southeastern Türkiye. The data were collected using descriptive information forms for parents and children with epilepsy, the Parent Stigma Scale, the Religious Attitude Scale, and the Paranormal Belief Scale.
Background: The spinal cord compression causes irreversible long-term permanent neurological sequelae. This study aims to increase awareness of childhood cancers that cause cord compression by comparing histopathological diagnosis, treatments, and survival rates to the literature.
Methods: Seventy-three patients (38 male, 35 female) with spinal cord compression, among 1085 patients diagnosed with solid tumors at Gazi University Department of Pediatric Oncology between 1991 and 2021 were retrospectively evaluated.
Aim: To determine if previous histological grading systems were sufficient or unreliable with a limited repository of modern techniques.
Material And Methods: The pathology reports of pediatric neurosurgery patients between 2019-2022 were accessed. Data on patients that needed unattainable further molecular investigation were extracted.
In this research, we propose a novel approach for constructing a sensitive and selective electrochemical sensor utilizing high-quality multi-walled carbon nanotubes functionalized with amino groups (MWCNT-NH) for the detection of Talazoparib (TLZ), a poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) enzyme inhibitor, in real samples. The MWCNT-NH-based sensor exhibited remarkable performance characteristics, including excellent repeatability, reproducibility, and high selectivity against various interferences. Under optimized conditions, the sensor demonstrated a wide linear concentration range of 1.

We describe steps for using HepG2 and HepaRG human hepatoma cells in conjunction with a combination of several in vitro assays covering the different molecular initiating events and key events of the respective adverse outcome pathway. This protocol is suitable for assessing single substance effects as well as mixtures allowing their classification as steatotic or non-steatotic.

Methods: All cases diagnosed with RB and received treatment and follow-up in the Ophthalmology and Pediatric Oncology Department, October 2016 to May 2021 were evaluated retrospectively. The gene was analyzed by next-generation sequencing (NGS) technique in DNAs obtained from peripheral blood samples of the patients.
Commercially important trout species, especially rainbow trout, are under great threat due to several negative factors affecting oxygen levels in water such as global warming and eutrophication. In our study, rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) was exposed to chronic (for 28 days) hypoxia (4.0 ± 0.

Methods: Fifty patients were included in the study and divided into two groups: those who had topical tranexamic acid applied and those who did not (controls). In the tranexamic acid group, tranexamic acid-soaked pledgets were placed under the skin flap in a way that both sides could reach the osteotomy area and left for 5 minutes.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of textural parameters of primary tumors, serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), D -dimer, and ferritin in high-risk neuroblastoma patients.
Patients And Methods: The imaging findings of 22 neuroblastoma patients (14 girls and 8 boys; age, 36.6 ± 34.
Background: Cyclopentolate is frequently used as a mydriatic agent during ophthalmological examinations in childhood and hypersensitivity reactions associated with this drug are rare. We aim to report an infant who experienced anaphylaxis due to cyclopentolate eye drops.
Case: A nine-month-old girl, who was being followed up with a diagnosis of retinoblastoma, presented for consultation for urticaria, cough, stridor, and dyspnea that developed after the administration of topical cyclopentolate to the eyes.
This study aims to reveal high school students' perceptions of COVID-19 and schools in the pandemic process through metaphors. In the study, phenomenology research design based on the qualitative research method was used. The study was carried out with the participation of 134 students at all grade levels from high school.

Thyroid hormones (THs) are crucial regulators of human metabolism and early development. During the safety assessment of plant protection products, the human relevance of chemically induced TH perturbations observed in test animals remains uncertain. European regulatory authorities request follow-up in vitro studies to elucidate human-relevant interferences on thyroid gland function or TH catabolism through hepatic enzyme induction.

Methods: Patients who received cochlear implants between 2010 and 2020 were included in the study. The relationship between the facial nerve and the lateral semicircular canal was classified into 3 types by evaluating the axial section computed tomography images.
Background: Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin disease in which the cells and molecules of innate and adaptive immunity are involved in the pathogenesis. Aplastic anemia is a bone marrow deficiency syndrome that is characterized by an extreme reduction in the number of blood cells as a result of failure in hematopoiesis. Allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a promising treatment for Aplastic Anemia and it is important to note that other comorbid diseases like psoriasis- since both have some common pathogenetic mechanisims- might achieve remission after treatment.
