[Adrenal hemorrhage in a newborn with factor V Leiden--a clinical case].

Neonatal adrenal hemorrhage is frequently associated with birth trauma, perinatal asphyxia, septicemia, coagulation defects and thromboembolism. We report a case of bilateral adrenal hemorrhage in newborn baby with perinatal asphyxia. Ultrasound findings of subacute adrenal hemorrhage draw attention to its presumable antenatal genesis.

[Factor V Leiden and C677T MTHFR thrombophilic mutations associated with hyperfibrinogenemia, persistent high CRP and leucocytosis in newborn baby with perinatal infection--a clinical case].

We present a clinical case of newborn baby with perinatal infection. Despite the solidity antibiotic therapy and good condition of the neonate, we observed hyperfibrinogenemia, persistent high CRP and leucocytosis. These inflammatory markers and the extravasation of blood during correction of anaemic syndrome draw attention to the role of other causal factors.

[Fetal macrosomia--risks for the mother and the infant during vaginal delivery].

Unlabelled: Fetal macrosomia represents a continuing challenge in obstetrics. The delivery of macrosomic infant has potentially serious consequences for the infant and the mother.

Aim: To determine the influence of fetal macrosomia (FM) on some of maternal and fetal complications during vaginal delivery.

[Haemangiomas--classifications and treatment].

Introduction: Haemangiomas are benign tumours of the vascular endothelium. They are heterogenous clinically, with size, location and rate of proliferation.

Materials And Methods: The available evidence in the literature was evaluated using--classification, clinical features and therapy of the haemangiomas.

[Pentalogy of Cantrell--a case report].

Pentalogy of Cantrell is a rare congenital anomaly consisting of the following features: (1) midline supraumbilical abdominal wall defects (2) deficiency of the anterior diaphragm (3) defects in the diaphragmatic pericardium (4) defects of the lower sternum (5) congenital cardiac malformation We report a case of Cantrell's Pentalogy with rare cardiac malformation single ventricular chamber with two atria ventricular valves and pulmonary stenosis. The newbom had multiple congenital anomalies: omphalocele, thoracoabdominal ectopia cordis, diaphragmatic defect, short sternum/sternal defect and dysmorphic features--microcephaly, hypertelorism, down slanted palpebral fissures, micrognathia, low set ears.
