Background: Treatment of patients diagnosed with myelodysplastic neoplasms (MDS) is difficult and the outcome is still limited, especially in developing countries. We conducted this study in order to share some experience in treating patients diagnosed with MDS in developing countries.
Methods: This was a retrospective study that included 32 patients with newly MDS.
Resistance to dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT), including aspirin and clopidogrel, in patients who have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) leads to the inability to prevent thrombotic complications. The present study aimed to evaluate early resistance to aspirin and clopidogrel in patients following PCI using the VerifyNow test and associated factors. A total of 50 patients diagnosed with acute coronary syndromes (ACS) who underwent emergency PCI and received DAPT were recruited in the present study.

Methods: This was a retrospective cross-sectional study including 585 medical records obtained from all consecutive patients who were suspected of having thrombosis.
Results: The AT group had a higher neutrophil count and NLR and a lower lymphocyte count than the non-thrombosis group.
Thirty patients with newly diagnosed symtomatic MM (multiple myeloma) received ASCT (autologous stem cell transplantation) and two cycles of bortezomib-cyclophosphamide-dexamethasone as consolidation treatment followed by maintenance of bortezomib for 24 months. 16 patients achieved complete response (CR) after ASCT, and two more patients achieved CR after consolidation therapy. At 92 months of follow-up, the median OS was 69.

This study aimed to determine the effect of the association between and ACA in the prognosis of APL.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study including 60 patients with APL treated with all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) and chemotherapy.

Objective/background: To analyse the influence of chromosomal aberrations in addition to t(15;17)(q22;q21) in acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL) on clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes.
Methods: Fifty-seven patients with new APL diagnoses underwent conventional cytogenetic analysis; fluorescence in situ hybridization for t(15;17)(q22;q21) and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction detected PML/RARα in two forms: L (length) and S (short) and accepted treatment with all-trans retinoic acid and chemotherapy. Patients with additional chromosome aberrations were designated as the complex karyotype group and were compared with patients with only t(15;17), who were designated as the simple karyotype group.
Background: Using social media (SM) for educational purposes might improve academic performance.
Aim: This paper aims to describe health science students' use of SM for educational purposes and its association with their academic performance.
Methods: Two hundred ninety-seven undergraduate health science students completed a self-administered questionnaire comprising 4 sections related to social media.
