Of 3229 patients with diseases of the thyroid gland, in 71 we revealed cancer, in 61--ossified goiter, in 2--cast iron stroma, in 25--autoimmune thyroiditis, in 5--median and lateral cervical hydrocele, in 1 case each--neurinoma, thymoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. The complex clinico-radionuclide investigation of the patients contributes to accurate definition of diagnosis and choice of an adequate operative intervention.
