Traumatic dislocations of the knee can result in significant soft tissue damage including multiligamentous and meniscal knee injury. When a meniscal tear involves the posterior horn, the meniscus loses one of its attachments to the tibia and can become extruded from the joint. Stener-like lesions of the knee have been reported throughout the literature; however, they have been exclusively described as a distal tear of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) lying superficial to the pes anserine tendon which prevents anatomic healing.

We report the case of a male in his twenties who was prescribed 10 mg of zolpidem daily for sleep disturbances. Within one month, he self-augmented the dose to 30 mg daily. Unable to secure an authorized refill, he sought unauthorized suppliers and increased his daily intake to 70 mg over eight months.

Delirium following pregabalin discontinuation in an individual with no psychiatric or substance use history.

We report about a man in his mid-50s who was prescribed pregabalin (150 mg/day) for neuropathic pain due to a herniated intervertebral disc. Four weeks later, he presented to the emergency room with symptoms consistent with delirium. After ruling out acute intoxication with a substance and neurological causes, collateral information from the family and review of his medical chart indicated potential discontinuation syndrome owing to pregabalin.

A mimicker of constriction: a case report of a rare case of cardiac angiosarcoma.

Background: Cardiac angiosarcoma is an exceptionally rare primary malignant tumour with an aggressive course and typically poor prognosis. Diagnosis is difficult, and patients often present with metastatic disease. Strained hospital capacity is associated with adverse patient outcomes. Anecdotal evidence suggests that during the COVID-19 pandemic in the US, some hospitals experienced capacity constraints while others in the same market had surplus capacity, a phenomenon known as "load imbalance." Our study evaluated the prevalence of intensive care unit load imbalance and the characteristics of hospitals most likely to be over capacity while other nearby hospitals were under capacity.
