Auditory perception is established through experience-dependent stimuli exposure during sensitive developmental periods; however, little is known regarding the structural development of the central auditory pathway in humans. The present study characterized the regional developmental trajectories of the ascending auditory pathway from the brainstem to the auditory cortex from infancy through adolescence using a novel diffusion MRI-based tractography approach and along-tract analyses. We used diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and neurite orientation dispersion and density imaging (NODDI) to quantify the magnitude and timing of auditory pathway microstructural maturation.

This dataset presents the indoor air temperature collections using the novel technique of Acoustic travel time TOMography (ATOM) in the ultrasonic frequency range. The presented measuring system employs early reflections as sound propagation paths in addition to the travel time of the direct path, effectively combining room acoustics with tomography techniques. The data was collected across various measurement scenarios within the climate chamber laboratory at the Building Physics Department at the Bauhaus-University Weimar.

Background: Valproic acid (VPA), a histone deacetylase inhibitor, has shown improved outcomes when used as a pharmaceutical intervention in animal studies of hemorrhage, septic shock, and combined injuries. We evaluated the sensitivity and specificity of the Biomeme Franklin™ three9 Real-Time PCR Thermocycler and Biomeme SARS-CoV-2 Go-Strips in the detection of SARS-CoV-2. The Biomeme Franklin™ three9 platform is a portable, battery-operated system that could be used in remote settings. We assessed performance of the Biomeme SARS-CoV-2 detection system at a wide range of viral concentrations, examined cross-reactivity of the SARS-CoV-2 Go-Strips against several near-neighbor respiratory pathogens, and evaluated agreement against the BioFire® Respiratory Panel 2.
