[Dynamics of death causes in the population of the Krasnodar region].

A dynamic analysis of death reasons among the population of the Krasnodar territory during 1989-2000 is presented in the article. The standardized indices of mortality due the infectious and parasitic diseases as well as due mental disorders, digestion pathologies, injuries and poisoning were growing at a higher speed. The increase of death-rate due to the disease of the above categories is caused mainly by an increased prevalence of pathologies, which have a profoundly pronounced social predisposition, i.

[Prevalence of congenital malformations].

Analyzes the incidence of congenital malformations in children and the relationship between hereditary diseases and average life span for the city of Krasnodar in 1987-1998, with special emphasis on morbidity, death/birth rate, and neonatal mortality caused by hereditary diseases. The incidence of hereditary diseases incompatible with life has increased in recent years and is expected to increase more, due to deterioration of social and economic situation in the country, communal conditions, and ecology.

[Current mortality trends among the population of "productive" age with diseases of the circulatory system].

The major purpose of this paper is to study the dynamics of mortality from leading cardiovascular diseases among able-bodied population. During the period between 1958 and 1986 in the Krasnodar Region the mortality among men increased 1.8 times, among women--was relatively stable.

[Analysis of children's diseases requiring hospitalization].

The purpose of the study is to analyze inpatient morbidity of children of the city of Krasnodar. The dependence of hospital admission rates and the mean length of hospital stay on a number of organizational and methodological factors, child's age and character of the disease is described. Some problems of continuity of work of polyclinics and hospitals are presented.
