Background: Size of primary tumor has implications for staging, imaging, and treatment of pancreatic head carcinomas. Limited data suggest that small tumor size is associated with better survival. Method And Results: This patient had a splenic capsular rupture likely related to his metastases that presented as a traumatic splenic injury.
Objectives: Renal medullary carcinoma (RMC) is a devastating and extremely rare malignancy primarily afflicting young men with sickle cell trait. We present our clinical experience with 9 cases of RMC during a 10-year period and briefly review the published data.
