Purpose: The evidence-based (S3) guideline "Adult Soft Tissue Sarcomas" (AWMF Registry No. 032/044OL) published by the German Guideline Program in Oncology (GGPO) covers all aspects of sarcoma treatment with 229 recommendations. Representatives of all medical specialties involved in sarcoma treatment contributed to the guideline.

- The HPV16 E6 oncoprotein disrupts the normal processing and secretion of IL-1β in keratinocytes, leading to lower levels of this important immune mediator.
- This degradation of pro-IL-1β occurs through a proteasome-dependent mechanism involving the ubiquitin ligase E6-AP and p53, and is also supported by findings in HPV-positive tissue samples indicating reduced IL-1β levels with cancer progression.
Background: Cutaneous human papillomavirus (HPV) infections seem to be associated with the onset of actinic keratosis (AK). This study compares the presence of cutaneous HPV types in eyebrow hairs to those in tissues of normal skin and skin lesions of 75 immunocompetent AK patients.
Methods: Biopsies from AK lesions, normal skin and plucked eyebrow hairs were collected from each patient.
