Objective: Introduction: Considering significant gap of convincing knowledge in the field of cardiovascular effects of prolactin and its role as a stress hormone in men precise investigations of these peculiarities has become necessary. The aim of this study was to find out the relationship of prolactin concentration with parameters of arterial stiffness in hypertensive men with low testosterone.

The authors presented in the article efficiency of new formulation of Natrium Nitroprusodum used buccaly in patients with cerebral-ischemic form of arterial hypertention and stage II hypertention. It has been shown both in an acute experiment and after monothrerapy having been used. The medication proved to have positive effect on brachiocephalic vessel blood flow indices in patients of both groups using pulse doplergraphy.

[Prognostic value of elevation of plasma concentration of atrial natriuretic peptide in patients with cardiac failure. Results of a cohort study].

A total of 172 patients with cardiac failure (CF) of functional class II-IV aged 46-62 years were studied. It has been established that the degree of ionization of serum calcium increases with the progression of hypertensive disease (HD) concurrently with the elevation of the level of calcitoninemia. By means of complex investigations we studied the influence of certain brain structures' ischemia caused by disorders of the blood flow through the extracranial arteries on the arterial pressure. We established close correlative dependence between degree of brachycephalic arteries occlusion, contents of biologically active agents in the blood outflowing from the brain (angiotonin-2, vasopressin, prostanoids, catecholamines) and value of systemic arterial pressure. We worked out diagnostic criteria of arterial hypertension cerebroischemic using angio- and dopplerography.

[Surgical treatment of patients with pathologic flexure of the extracranial cerebral arteries].

The results of the use of medicamentous protection of the brain under conditions of modelled ischemia and reperfusion by means of KS-79 preparation are presented. In exclusion of blood flow through the carotid arteries for the period commensurate to that in the clinic, it was established that the use of KS-79 preparation possessing the anti-ischemic and antioxidant properties has pronounced cerebro-prospective action, preserves functional and structural integrity of the brain.

[Membrane-stabilizing preparations in the treatment of patients with heart rhythm disorders of different etiologies].

Data are reported of a study of the efficacy of membrane-stabilizing antiarrhythmic agents--ethmosin, ethacisin, allapinin. The latter was used in the treatment of 85 patients with arrhythmias of different etiology and proved more effective as compared with ethmosin and ethacisin. In ventricular extrasystole the effect was favourable in 86%, in supraventricular--in 70% of patients.

[An evaluation of the kinin and sympathetic-adrenal systems and prostanoids in rheumatism with a heart rhythm disorder].

A comparative study is presented of some components of the kinin, sympathetic-adrenal system and plasma prostacyclin in 296 patients with active rheumatism of different activity grades and disorders of the cardiac rhythm. Data were obtained on the activation of the sympathetic-adrenal and kinin system in rheumocarditis with disorders of the cardiac rhythm. A relationship was established between the components of these systems.
