Genetic Landscape of Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma.

Peripheral T-Cell lymphoma (PTCL) comprises a heterogenous group of uncommon lymphomas derived from mature, post-thymic or "peripheral" T- and natural killer cells. The World Health Organization (WHO) emphasizes a multiparameter approach in the diagnosis and subclassification of these neoplasms, integrating clinical, morphologic, immunophenotypic, and genetic features into the final diagnosis. Clinical presentation is particularly important due to histologic, immunophenotypic and genetic variations within established subtypes, and no convenient immunophenotypic marker of monoclonality exists.

Hemorrhagic Retinopathy and Optic Nerve Sheath Hemorrhage Associated With Fatal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage from a Ruptured Intracranial Aneurysm Due to Segmental Fibromuscular Dysplasia.

Fibromuscular dysplasia is an idiopathic, nonatheromatous, and noninflammatory arterial disease that most commonly affects the renal and carotid arteries. We report a child with subarachnoid and ocular hemorrhage associated with an aneurysm due to fibromuscular dysplasia. Computed tomography following a witnessed collapse revealed diffuse subarachnoid hemorrhage and severe cerebral edema.

Primary Cutaneous Acral CD8 T-Cell Lymphoma.

Primary cutaneous acral CD8 T-cell lymphoma is a new provisional entity in the 2016 revision of the World Health Organization classification of lymphoid neoplasms. This is a challenging diagnosis because of its rarity, as well as its morphologic and immunophenotypic overlap with other CD8 cytotoxic lymphoid proliferations. Appropriate classification of this entity is crucial because of its indolent clinical behavior compared with other CD8 T-cell lymphomas.

Endometrial Ablation: Normal Imaging Appearance and Delayed Complications.

Objective: Nonresectoscopic endometrial ablation techniques are being used as an alternative first-line management for menorrhagia. With these techniques, patients are at risk of developing delayed complications including painful obstructed menses, such as central hematometra and cornual hematometra, and postablation tubal sterilization syndrome. Pregnancy and the detection of endometrial cancer after ablation pose challenges in management.
