A rare presentation of Morgagni hernia in an adult with strangulated ileum: A case report.

Introduction: Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) occurs in 1/2500 new-borns. Morgagni hernia (MH) is a very rare type of congenital diaphragmatic hernia found in the anterior aspect of the diaphragm between the costal and sternal portions of the muscle. It accounts for approximately 3 % of all diaphragmatic hernias.

Digital papillary adenocarcinoma: A case report.

We present the case of a 64-year-old male with a 3-month history of a mass involving the distal portion of the fifth finger on the left hand which was histologically confirmed as digital papillary adenocarcinoma. Although the tumor is low grade, the chances of recurrence and metastasis are high.

Subtotal cholecystectomy: An operative option for Salmonellae typhi gangrenous cholecystitis.

Typhoid gangrenous cholecystitis is uncommon and can be managed by subtotal cholecystectomy with nonclosure of the cystic duct if that is required for patient safety.

Pediatric intussusception in Uganda: differences in management and outcomes with high-income countries.

Purpose: In high-income countries the presentation and treatment of intussusception is relatively rapid, and most cases are correctable with radiographically-guided reduction. In low-income countries, many delays affect outcomes and surgical intervention is required. This study characterizes the burden and outcome of pediatric intussusception in Uganda.
