Introduction: Total knee arthroplasty is associated with significant postoperative pain. Continuous adductor canal blocks via an inserted adductor canal catheter are effective analgesia interventions with the advantage of decreasing quadriceps weakness and the potential of extending the analgesic effect. The classical adductor canal catheter insertion technique may have a high likelihood of catheter dislodgement out of the canal.

Synopsis of recent research by authors named "Vitaliano Di Grazia"

  • Vitaliano Di Grazia's recent research primarily focuses on pain management techniques in the context of orthopedic procedures and specific pain conditions, emphasizing the effectiveness and safety of innovative interventions.
  • In his 2024 publication, he conducted a randomized controlled trial comparing migration rates of traditional vs. tunneled adductor canal block catheters, highlighting the importance of catheter stability in postoperative analgesia following total knee arthroplasty.
  • His earlier work in 2022 explored a novel radiofrequency ablation technique for treating coccydynia, aiming to enhance management strategies for this complex condition through advanced procedural interventions.
