Heart transplantation is a vital procedure for patients with end-stage heart failure, but it faces significant challenges, including graft dysfunction, rejection, and cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV), which can compromise long-term graft success. Research suggests that statin therapy may offer significant benefits to heart transplant recipients, such as improved long-term survival and reduced rates of graft rejection and mortality. The aim of this review is to thoroughly examine the recent literature on this topic since 2005.

Here, we examined the differentiation of CD4+ T cells subsets in response to BKPyV KTRs, using the BKPyV VP1 (viral capsid protein 1) as a stimulator. We categorized our samples into three distinct groups: 1.

This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the role of exosomes, small extracellular vesicles, in asthma pathophysiology and explores their potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic tools.
Methods: A literature search was conducted to identify recent studies investigating the involvement of exosomes in asthma.
Mesenchymal stem cell (MSCs) therapy, as a rapidly developing area of medicine, holds great promise for the treatment of a variety of medical conditions. MSCs are multipotent stem cells that can be isolated from various tissues and could self-renew and differentiate. They secrete cytokines and trophic factors that create a regenerative microenvironment and have immunomodulatory properties.

In particular, the infusion of regulatory T cells (Tregs) is explored for the prevention and control of autoimmune reactions and acute/chronic allograft rejection. Such an approach represents a promising new treatment for autoimmune diseases to recover an immunotolerance against autoantigens, and to prevent an immune response to alloantigens.

Aim: We designed and performed a meta-analysis to investigate the prognostic roles of RDW and D-Dimer in subjects with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
Materials And Methods: We systematically reviewed PubMed-Medline, SCOPUS, EMBASE, Web of Science Core Collection, and Google Scholar up to the present to look for publications on prognostic effects of RDW and D-Dimer in DLBCL patients.
Substituting animal-based fats with plant-based fats of similar stability and functionality has always posed a significant challenge for the food industry. Enzymatic glycerolysis products are systems formed by converting native triacylglycerols in liquid oils into monoacylglycerols and diacylglycerols, mainly studied in the last few years for their unique structural ability. This study aims to modify and scale up the glycerolysis process of different plant oils, e.

The reactivation of polyomavirus BK (BKPyV) contributes to increased morbidity and mortality rates of transplant patients, especially kidney transplant recipients (KTRs). CD4+ T cells are important immune cells active during BKPyV infection in KTRs. This research tried to examine the phenotype of CD4+ T cells in the stage of BKPyV activation in KTRs.

Although the relationship between the prognostic role of RDW and some cancers has been well established, the role it of RDW plays in DLBCL patients is unclear still questionable and requires more investigations.
Methods: All patients diagnosed with DLBCL who had referred to Imam Reza Hospital, during were included in this retrospective cohort study.
This study investigated transport pathways and photochemical formation responsible for ozone exceedances during the September 2021 deployment of the Tracking Aerosol Convection Interactions ExpeRiment/Air Quality (TRACER-AQ) campaign in Houston, Texas. We focused on two ozone episodes, September 6th-September 11th ("Episode 1") and September 23rd-September 26th ("Episode 2"), when the maximum daily eight-hour average (MDA8) ozone at surface monitors exceeded 70 ppbv. Long-range transport patterns of air masses during these episodes were from the central/northern US.

This study aims to investigate the effect of varicocelectomy and mast cell stabilizers on reducing sperm DNA fragmentation in infertile patients with varicocele.
Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, after obtaining ethical approval and informed consent, infertile patients with varicocele were randomly assigned to three groups: varicocelectomy, 1 mg ketotifen, and varicocelectomy plus with 1 mg ketotifen for 3-month follow-up.
Due to the dynamic and complexity of leachate percolation within municipal solid waste (MSW), planning and operation of solid waste management systems are challenging for decision-makers. In this regard, data-driven methods can be considered robust approaches to modeling this problem. In this paper, three black-box data-driven models, including artificial neural networks (ANN), adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS), and support vector regression (SVR), and also three white-box data-driven models, including the M5 model tree (M5MT), classification and regression trees (CART), and group method of data handling (GMDH), were developed for modeling and predicting landfill leachate permeability ([Formula: see text]).

Immune checkpoints (ICPs) are inhibitory or stimulatory molecules expressed on different immune cells, tumor cells, or other cell types that regulate immune system activation and maintain immune homeostasis. Compelling evidence indicates a key role for ICPs in both the progression and prevention of asthma.
