The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of A1 pulley reconstruction in treating severe trigger fingers and to compare its outcomes with those of the traditional A1 pulley release technique. A total of 43 patients participated in the study, divided into two groups: 22 patients underwent A1 pulley reconstruction, while the remaining 21 patients received the standard A1 pulley release procedure. The outcomes were assessed using the Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire (MHQ) 1 month post-surgery.

We present a novel technique for treating greater tuberosity fractures utilizing specialized anatomical plates and rotator cuff reinforcement. The technique involves the use of an anatomically T-shaped plate designed specifically for the greater tuberosity region of the humerus, allowing for precise fixation and stability.

The compound finds applications in various fields, including its use as an aerosol propellants, an accelerant in motor racing, and an anesthetic in surgical procedures and dentistry. Unfortunately, the recreational misuse of NO has become prevalent among young individuals due to its euphoric and hallucinogenic effects.

Unfortunately, Tendon injuries are increasing rapidly due to heavy exercise and a highly aging population. In addition, the introduction of 3D-printing technology in the area of tendon repair and replacement has resolved numerous issues and significantly improved the quality of artificial tendons.

The current primary approaches to address peripheral nerve defects involve the utilization of autologous nerve transplants or the transplantation of artificial material. Nevertheless, these methods possess certain limitations, such as inadequate availability of donor nerve or unsatisfactory regenerative outcomes post-transplantation.

Background: Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a chronic liver disease, has no United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved drugs for treatment.
Objectives: To examine fundamental characteristics of drug clinical trials for NASH treatment on the global clinical trials registry platform.
Methods: Cross-sectional analysis of clinical trials with NASH as medical condition that are registered on ClinicalTrials.
Background: Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) has shown high expression in inflammatory responses and fibrosis.
Hypothesis: We speculated that FAP could serve as a diagnostic and monitoring target in the tendon healing process.
Study Design: Controlled laboratory study.
Peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) can be caused by various factors, ranging from penetrating injury to compression, stretch and ischemia, and can result in a range of clinical manifestations. Therapeutic interventions can vary depending on the severity, site, and cause of the injury. Imaging plays a crucial role in the precise orientation and planning of surgical interventions, as well as in monitoring the progression of the injury and evaluating treatment outcomes.

Methods: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of melatonin in the treatment of acute brachial plexus compression injury in rats using histopathological, histomorphometric, immunohistochemical and electrophysiological methods. Forty-eight adult male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly allocated into three groups: sham, melatonin and vehicle groups.
Cancer represents a major cause of death worldwide and is characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal cells that escape immune regulation. It is now understood that cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), which express specific fibroblast activation protein (FAP), are critical participants in tumor development and metastasis. Researchers have developed various FAP-targeted probes for imaging of different tumors from antibodies to boronic acid-based inhibitor molecules and determined that quinoline-based FAP inhibitors (FAPIs) are the most appropriate candidate as the radiopharmaceutical for FAPI PET/CT imaging.

Although neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and radiation exposure have been identified as risk factors for MPNST, the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying MPNST pathogenesis have only lately been roughly elucidated. Plexiform neurofibroma (PN) and atypical neurofibromatous neoplasm of unknown biological potential (ANNUBP) are novel concepts of MPNST precancerous lesions, which revealed sequential mutations in MPNST development.

These cysts are asymptomatic unless ruptured, severely infected, or transformed into malignant squamous cell carcinoma. We present a case of a single clubbing finger in an adult diagnosed with an intraosseous epidermoid cyst in the distal phalanx of the left index finger with no history of pulmonary or cardiovascular diseases.

A traumatic neuroma is not a true malignancy, rather, it is a hyperplastic, reparative nerve reaction after injury and typically manifests as a nodular mass. The most common clinical manifestations include painful hypersensitivity and the presence of a trigger point that causes neuralgic pain, which could seriously decrease the living standards of patients.

Human dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) are neural crest stem cells with a strong multi-directional differentiation potential and proliferation capacity that provide a novel cell source for nerve regeneration. DPSCs are easily extracted from dental pulp tissue of human permanent or deciduous teeth.

Main Body: In this paper, we discuss the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of nanosecond pulsed electric field on three common skin cancers, namely, malignant melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma, as well as its application to other benign skin diseases and future development and improvement directions.
Conclusion: In general, nanosecond pulsed electric field mainly exerts its ablative effect on tumors through subcellular membrane electroporation effect.
Introduction: Schwannomas are the most common neoplastic lesions of the peripheral nerves when growing on the extremities, they usually have adverse effects on patients due to the exposed and functional nature of the region.
Methods: In the present single-center retrospective study, we included all patients with pathologically confirmed schwannoma located in extremities between 2011 and 2021 totaling 183 patients. Data on gender, age, duration history, clinical presentation, occurrence region, nerve affiliation, imaging data, modus operation, mass volume, immunohistochemistry, postoperative neurological function, and recurrence were collected.
Bone fracture healing is a complex process involving various signaling pathways. It remains an unsolved issue the fast and optimal management of complex or multiple fractures in the field of orthopedics and rehabilitation. Bone fracture healing is largely a four-stage process, including initial hematoma formation, intramembrane ossification, chondrogenesis, and endochondral ossification followed by further bone remodeling.

It is appreciated that signaling events and pathways involving TNFRSF components are essential in coordinating the functions of multiple cell types that act as a host defense network against pathogens and malignant cells, the implications of TNFRSF-related signaling pathways on bone tumor metabolism remain to be summarized, which is one of the significant obstacles to the application of TNF-related treatment modalities in the domain of bone oncology. This review will discuss and summarize the anti-tumor properties of important TNFRSF components concerning osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, and Ewing sarcoma.
