Background: Heidelberg retina tomogram (HRT) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) are two widely used imaging modalities to evaluate the optic nerve head (ONH) in glaucoma.
Purpose: To compare the ONH parameters of HRT3 and high-definition OCT (HD-OCT) and evaluate their diagnostic abilities in perimetric and preperimetric glaucoma.
Design: Cross-sectional analysis.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess changes in the neural retina in eyes with different stages of diabetic retinopathy (DR) in comparison to age-matched healthy subjects.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) scans of 76 naïve eyes of 62 subjects with diabetes was performed. Key exclusion criteria included presence of diabetic macular edema, any other retinal disease, history of any treatment for DR, or incorrect segmentation of the retinal layers on SD-OCT scans.
Purpose: To analyze the changes in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) in eyes with nonproliferative macular telangiectasia type 2A (MacTel), by evaluating macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thickness and macular retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in comparison to age-matched healthy volunteers.
Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 99 eyes (53 subjects) with nonproliferative MacTel who underwent fundus fluorescein angiography and spectral domain optical coherence tomography using Cirrus HD-OCT. We also included 44 eyes of 33 age-matched healthy Indian volunteers as control group.
