Digging into uncertainty: a case report on Spitz lesions.

Spitz lesions represent a spectrum of melanocytic proliferations, and they include Spitz nevi, atypical Spitz tumors, and Spitz melanomas. Atypical Spitz tumors are intermediate melanocytic lesions with features between benign Spitz nevi and malignant Spitz melanomas. They often present a diagnostic challenge to pathologists and dermatologists alike because they can mimic melanoma, especially high-grade atypical Spitz tumors.

Erythema exudativum multiforme-like exanthema in a patient with Q fever: a case report and literature review.

Q fever is a rare worldwide zoonosis, caused by the rickettsial bacteria Coxiella burnetii. There are many clinical manifestations of infection, but the most common ones are fever, atypical pneumonia, and/or liver disease. Cutaneous involvement, however, is not a typical feature of Q fever, but it is nevertheless present in up to 20% of cases.

Eruptive facial lentiginosis-like repigmentation in a patient with longstanding generalized vitiligo without a detectable trigger.

Spontaneous appearance of hyperpigmented macules on chronic vitiligo lesions is a very rare phenomenon, which is described as eruptive lentiginosis. We describe the case of a patient with chronic non-segmental generalized vitiligo who presented with a sudden onset of hyperpigmented macules on depigmented areas of the face. A biopsy showed pigmented basal keratinocytes in the interfollicular epidermis, and immunohisochemistry with anti-SOX10 antibodies showed nuclei of single melanocytes.

Hereditary benign telangiectasia: a case report.

Hereditary benign telangiectasia is an autosomal dominant inherited dermatosis with typical presentation of telangiectasia of the skin and lips. The cause is still unknown. It is a primary telangiectasia that develops during childhood without systemic symptoms.

Malignant Syphilis in a Female Patient: A Case Report and Mini-Review.

Malignant syphilis (MS) is a rare form of secondary syphilis with grotesque skin lesions, systemic manifestation and life-threatening complications. This article presents a case of MS in an immunocompetent 41-year-old female, who initially manifested with a generalized nonpruritic erythematous rash and systemic symptoms. She was mistreated for generalized impetigo and hepatitis attributed to chronic alcoholism.
