Introduction: Chondroblastoma is a rare benign cartilaginous neoplasm arising in the epiphysis of long bones in young patients. It is an uncommon benign but locally aggressive tumor, mostly located in the secondary centers of ossification. These tumors arise near a joint or growth plate and surgical excision is always challenging.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the chemopreventive potential of vanillic acid against 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA)-induced hamster buccal pouch oral carcinogenesis.

Materials And Methods: Determine the tumor incidence, tumor volume and burden, assessment of the status of Phase I and Phase II detoxification enzymes were measured in the liver and buccal mucosa of hamsters using specific colorimetric methods.

Results: One hundred percent tumor formation was observed in DMBA alone treated hamsters.

A study was carried out to characterize and explore the expression profile of BMP 3 gene in control broiler and control layer chicken. The total open reading frame of BMP 3 (1389 bp) was cloned and sequenced. The control broiler and control layer chicken showed variation at nucleotide and amino acid level with reference gene (Gallus gallus, NCBI Acc.

Thermal manipulation during embryogenesis has been demonstrated to enhance the thermotolerance capacity of broilers through epigenetic modifications. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are induced in response to stress for guarding cells against damage. The present study investigates the effect of thermal conditioning during embryogenesis and thermal challenge at 42 days of age on HSP gene and protein expression, DNA methylation and in vitro luciferase assay in brain tissue of Naked Neck (NN) and Punjab Broiler-2 (PB-2) chicken.

The effects of supplementing the organic forms of selenium (Se), chromium (Cr), and zinc (Zn) on Hsp-70 mRNA expression and body weight in broiler chickens were evaluated. 200 chicks were equally distributed into stainless steel battery brooders at the rate of 5 birds per pen and reared under heat stress condition up to 42 day. The chicks were fed with three experimental diets supplemented with organic forms of Se (0.

Combination of dietary components with chemotherapy drugs is an emerging new strategy for cancer therapy to increase antitumor responses. Neferine, major bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid isolated from the seed embryo of Nelumbo nucifera (Lotus). In the present study, we investigated the efficacy of the combinatorial regimen of neferine and cisplatin compared to cisplatin high dose in human lung adenocarcinoma (A549) cells.

Nutritional insecurity is a major threat to the world's population that is highly dependent on cereals-based diet, deficient in micronutrients. Next to cereals, millets are the primary sources of energy in the semi-arid tropics and drought-prone regions of Asia and Africa. Millets are nutritionally superior as their grains contain high amount of proteins, essential amino acids, minerals, and vitamins.

Aim: Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease are two important chronic Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) characterized by prominent intestinal inflammation. Probiotics are the bacteria that promote the host health by its immunomodulatory activity. The present study investigated the correlation between in vitro adhesion and immunomodulatory properties, and to assess the therapeutic potential of Bifidobacterium bifidum 231 (BIF 231), a new strain of probiotic in ulcerative colitis in rats.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is progressive neurodegenerative disorder and identified as a major health concern globally. Individuals with AD and their care givers are affected in personal, emotional, financial, and social levels. Due to its significant impact and heavy burden on the individual, the patients' families, and society, it is highly needed to search for cost effective, long-time retention therapeutic targets.

Semen variables are affected by the breed and strain of chicken. The present study was undertaken to compare the semen quality in two lines of adult chickens with particular reference to sperm chromatin condensation, sperm DNA damage and sperm membrane proteins. Semen from a PD3 and White Leghorn control line was collected at 46 and 47 weeks and 55 weeks of age.

Thermal manipulation during embryogenesis has been shown to improve thermo tolerance in broilers. Heat shock proteins are a family of proteins produced in response to variety of stress and protect cells from damage. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of thermal manipulation (TM) during embryogenesis on HSP gene and protein expression in the embryos and in chronic heat stressed 42nd day old chicks.

Thermal manipulation during incubation has been shown to improve post hatch performance in poultry. The aim of the present experiment was to evaluate thermal manipulation on semen quality of roosters during hot climatic conditions. Eggs obtained after artificial insemination from Dahlem Red layer breeders were randomly divided into two groups control (C) and heat exposed (HE).

The present experiment was conducted to evaluate the Hsp-70, 27 and Ubiquitin mRNA expressions and serum T3 concentration in synthetic colored broiler female lines, Punjab Broiler-2 (PB-2), and Naked neck (NN) broiler chicken whose eggs were exposed to 2°C increased incubation temperature for 3 hours each on the 16th, 17 th, and 18th day of incubation. Another set of eggs were incubated at normal conditions that were utilized as the control. A total of 432 chicks, 216 from each breed (PB-2; NN) and treatment (Heat exposed: HE; normal: N), were randomly distributed and reared at high ambient temperatures (32°C-45°C) during the summer season in battery brooders.

Inflammatory mediators play a crucial role in ulcerative colitis (UC). The present study was aimed to evaluate the effects of Lactobacillus plantarum 21 (LAB 21) on inflammatory mediators in trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis in rats. The inflammatory response was assessed by changes in colon morphology, histopathology, and measurement of reduced glutathione (GSH), lipid peroxidation (TBARS), nitric oxide (NO), interleukin 1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), and interleukin 10 (IL-10) mRNA and protein levels by ELISA.

The present experiment was conducted to evaluate the semen quality of roosters of different ages during hot climatic condition. Semen from roosters (n=8/age group) of 23, 42 and 65 weeks of age was collected and evaluated for different physical parameters. The sperm membrane integrity was evaluated by hypo-osmotic swelling test, whereas sperm DNA fragmentation was assessed by Sperm Chromatin Dispersion (SCD) test.
