Introduction: Escitalopram is commonly prescribed to patients with recurrent depressive disorder. Some of them do not show adequate response to treatment with escitalopram, while many of them experience adverse drug reactions.

Objective: The objective of our study was to evaluate the impact of -806C>T polymorphism of CYP2C19 (CYP2C19*17) on the concentration/dose ratio of escitalopram in patients with recurrent depressive disorder.

A rod-shaped, non-endospore-forming and non-motile bacterium, strain DL-329, was isolated from the above-ground part of a plant, Androsace koso-poljanskii Ovcz. (Primulaceae), at the the State Natural Reserve 'Belogorie', Russia. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence comparisons, the strain clustered with members of the genus Rathayibacter, showing the highest sequence similarity to Rathayibacter tritici (98.

This work investigated the regulatory role of the interaction between cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH) and β-glucosidase (β-GLU) in the conversion of cellobiose into cellobionolactone or glucose in vitro. To study the regulation, the two enzymes were isolated from the culture medium of the fungus Cerrena unicolor grown on a medium with microcrystalline cellulose. The enzymes were obtained in an electrophoretically homogeneous state.

Four bacterial strains from glyphosate- or alkylphosphonates-contaminated soils were tested for ability to utilize different organophosphonates. All studied strains readily utilized methylphosphonic acid and a number of other phosphonates, but differed in their ability to degrade glyphosate. Only strains Ochrobactrum anthropi GPK 3 and Achromobacter sp.

Four xylanases of Cellulomonas flavigena were cloned, expressed in Escherichia coli and purified. Three enzymes (CFXyl1, CFXyl2, and CFXyl4) were from the GH10 family, while CFXyl3 was from the GH11 family. The enzymes possessed moderate temperature stability and a neutral pH optimum.

We propose a simple and cost-effective ATP method for controlling the specific activity of a freeze-dried BCG vaccine. A freeze-dried BCG vaccine is reconstituted with 1ml saline and incubated for 15min at room temperature and then for 1h at 37°C. The vaccine is then treated with apyrase to remove extracellular ATP.

Aim: To estimate the importance of new algorithm introducing of PDP diagnostics in practice of NEFU medical institute Clinic in detection of severity level and predicting of clinical course.

Materials And Methods: 50 people with sensory-motor PDP form among patients with 2 type diabetes were examined on the basis of Clinic of NEFU medical institute. Patients have been divided into 2 groups by disease duration: the first groups were patients with duration of disease till 10 years, the second group--more than 10 years.

The growth parameters of Achromobacter sp. Kg 16 (VKM B-2534 D), such as biomass and maximum specific growth rate, depended only on the source of phosphorus in the medium, but not on the carbon source or the presence of growth factors. With glyphosate as a sole phosphorus source, they were still 40-50 % lower than in media supplemented with orthophosphate or other organophosphonate-methylphosphonic acid.

The production of technical-grade sodium citrate from the glycerol-containing biodiesel waste by Yarrowia lipolytica was studied. Batch experiments showed that citrate was actively produced within 144 h, then citrate formation decreased presumably due to inhibition of enzymes involved in this process. In contrast, when the method of repeated batch cultivation was used, the formation of citrate continued for more than 500 h.

Under the conditions of submerged cultivation in a medium containing microcrystalline cellulose, the Cerrena unicolor VKM F-3196 basidiomycete is capable of producing xylanase and cellulase. Electrophoretically homogeneous cellulase and xylanase were obtained using ion exchange and hydrophobic chromatography. The molecular weight of both cellulase and xylanase was -44 kDa.

The production of α-ketoglutaric acid by yeast Yarrowia lipolytica VKMY-2412 from ethanol and its subsequent chemical conversion to succinic acid (SA) were investigated. A highly effective and environmentally friendly process of α-ketoglutaric acid production was developed using a special pH-controlling strategy, in which the titration of the culture broth with KOH in the acid-formation phase was minimal, that allowed accumulation of only low amounts of inorganic wastes in the course of SA recovery. The culture broth filtrate containing α-ketoglutaric acid (88.

The process of succinic acid (SA) production represents the combination of microbial synthesis of α-ketoglutaric acid from rapeseed oil by yeast Yarrowia lipolytica VKM Y-2412 and subsequent decarboxylation of α-ketoglutaric acid by hydrogen peroxide to SA that leads to the production of 69.0 g l(-1) of SA and 1.36 g l(-1) of acetic acid.

A xylanase gene was isolated from the genomic DNA of Streptomyces coelicolor Ac-738. The 723-bp full-length gene encoded a 241-amino acid peptide consisting of a 49-residue putative TAT signal peptide and a glycoside hydrolase family-11 domain. The mature enzyme called XSC738 was expressed in Escherichia coli M15[pREP4].

Bacterial strains capable of utilizing methylphosphonic acid (MP) or glyphosate (GP) as the sole sources of phosphorus were isolated from soils contaminated with these organophosphonates. The strains isolated from MP-contaminated soils grew on MP and failed to grow on GP. One group of the isolates from GP-contaminated soils grew only on MP, while the other one grew on MP and GP.

We propose a new set of approaches, which allow identifying the primary enzymes of glyphosate (N-phosphonomethyl-glycine) attack, measuring their activities, and quantitative analysis of glyphosate degradation in vivo and in vitro. Using the developed approach we show that glyphosate degradation can follow different pathways depending on physiological characteristics of metabolizing strains: in Ochrobactrum anthropi GPK3 the initial cleavage reaction is catalyzed by glyphosate-oxidoreductase with the formation of aminomethylphosphonic acid and glyoxylate, whereas Achromobacter sp. MPS12 utilize C-P lyase, forming sarcosine.
